We stopped at this newish restaurant today which looked cheerful and colourful from the road. The menu is typical Portugese with the offerings one would expect: Bacalhau (cod), "LM" prawns, prego rolls, pasteis de nata, etc. The food is honest and tasty and very good value for money. I thought the service was exceptional and the fact that there were several things not in the menu, as they had been cleared out the previous day by a Portugese motor bike club, did not deter us as it usually would, purely due to the charm and honesty of the owner. A perfect place for a pleasant meal, although the road noise if you sit outside is quite intrusive. Their liquor license has not yet come through so best to check beforehand in case you need to bring your own.
Mediterranean inspired restaurant, specialising in souvla which is a Greek / Cypriot way of cooking meat and chicken over hot coals on rotating skewers. An experience not too be missed.
We were here as a family, eating meat and a salad. The Italian Salad with mozzarella, we are talking about grated , cheap cheese! No mozzarella pieces/slices as it should be, was really an disappointment. The meat(beef) very tasteful, and delicious. The pork to fatty, The vegetables with the mains just nothing special. We waited for almost 40 minutes and were NOT offered any bread or something in between which is rather normal for a Greek restaurant. The waitress was very nervous and never brought the second round of drinks we ordered. As the restaurant opened only recently they might pick up on the service, which was friendly, but not well organized. To many people running around and far to long waiting. We will give it a second chance in a few month. As there is another very good Creek Restaurant in Hout Bay, the new owners must put in some work.....

Sometimes you wake up and know exactly what you desire to eat. For me it was sausage, mustard and sauerkraut. And yes they do these well. We have tried all the sausage types, the kassler and the schnitzel, all just as you might expect. If you want the eisbein , go after 2 pm as they are made daily. I have yet to try it.Food wise its basic, but good, the service we have found on both occasions to be excellent. They have a bar and sometimes live music. If you like this sort of food, then you will like this place.
Nestled amongst Hout Bay's lush agricultural belt on Valley Road, you will find a bistro truly unlike any other. The unique blend of playgrounds, splash-pools, open spaces and barnyard animals make Black & Brew @ValleyFarm one of the best places in 'The B
Made a quick visit yesterday just for coffee and a âjust from the ovenâ muffin - and I felt as though the sun came out! Great coffee, to die for muffins - peppermint crisp (I have yet to try!), Rolo!!! Rolo muffin. Friendly staff in a rustic setting- I was never so happy to live on valley road- Iâll be back (probably tomorrow) again and again!!
