Was lucky enough to get a table for a few hours as it was booked out. The food was really good and well presented. However the seating is a bit cramped and the mussels had a bit too much garlic. This place has a garden and playpark for kids which is great if youâre not seated right there. The food is nothing special and itâs very noisy inside and outside.Hi 670marionsWe do apologise for your experience and that your food was not as special as you'd hoped. Thank you for your feedback, we do have a lot of families but they usually clear out by about 7:30pm. Our inside seating is usually where people sit to avoid the crowds but being a small restaurant makes it busling and noisy. Later bookings around 7:30pm to 8pm get to have a calmer and less noisy experience. We hope to see you again soon and hopefully we can give you a better experience. Please also feel free to bring anything to our attention if you are in the restaurant as we love feedback and the opportunity to improve.

We decided to early dinner at Nelson as we were traveling with our baby and were concerned for his sleeping hours.The restaurant is by no means equip for toddlers or babie but the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.Let's the start with the service - absoluety fabulous! I could not have been more satisfied with the level of professionalism and genuine friendliness. As mentioned we were with a baby and he was getting a bit cranky having had to stay put. The owner ( I think he was the owner) was kind enough to show us the grill in which the grill an gave the baby a "fire show" which kept him entertained.... At some point the owner even took our little punk for greetings round the restaurant while we were able to take more bites of the wonderful food. Honestly I never felt so welcome. And now to the food - superb! Haven't had such a fine steak in ages. The fillet is an absolute MUST as it melts like butter in your mouth, and the rump steak was beautifully done, full of flavors and uumph. The sides too were excellent, we had a baked potato with sour cream and creamed spinach - both were excellent standalone dishes. To cut a long story short - the meat is beyond this world! After dinner the owner/manager also walked us to our car so that we feel safe. We had a great time and hope to be back in Cape Town so we can pop in again.

My friends and I ventured to spur for an affordable easy meal, but were treated to an incredible feast of steaks, ribs and burgers. The food was top quality and extremely filling, and the service was up to standard.
