We are always on the look for a new & interesting breakfast venue.We were told about Si Cantina Sociale by some friends & decided to give it a go, situated in the Silo distric of Cape Town.As we walked in we were greated by this charming & smiling waiter called Elton, thank you.We were seated in a cubicle & placed our order, loved Elton's bantering.The coffee & food was great, this place will see us again, loved everything about this place including an incredibly beautiful huge mural.If you are ever in the Silo distric of Cape Town & looking for a great eatery, this is it.To the management and staff thank you for a great experience.Kind regardsFerdie Liebenberg Thank you for your kind words, Ferdie_Liebenberg! The best part of the V&A Food Market is that there is something for everyone, ranging from sweet to savory. It can be problematic if you're ravenous as everything looks so tasty you would just want to buy everything. We grabbed some beers and went up the first floor to enjoy some pizzas and afterwards rounded them off with delicious crepes. The atmosphere was very energetic as the market was bustling, but not overcrowded, and there was live music as well. It's more suited for small to medium sized groups. Definitely planning on visiting again.

Since changing hands I have only been to this restaurant once when I asked the waitress to bring me any other jam but strawberry, which she did. This morning another visit and a huge smile from said waitress who remembered us although I admit I didn't remember her that was until she proudly brought me 2 apricot jams with my scones. Bear in mind that first visit had been end August and I am just SO impressed with her memory and attention to my needs. Good reason to return again and next time with not such a long break in between.
