Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Camps Bay. Shaded spots go early at Cape Town's crowded Camps Bay, where locals picnic and play in the strong Atlantic waves. Look for the flagged bathing areas for safer swims for all the family. Festive cafes sit adjacent to the sands, which are dramatically set at the foot of the Twelve Apostles mountains.

At Ocean Basket Camps Bay you'll find friendly people, a home-from-home feeling and great value for your hard-earned bucks.
Located along trendy Victoria Road with views over Camps Bay Beach (fantastic sunset views), Ocean Basket serves up fresh seafood from 11.00 to 22.00 (half an hour longer at weekends). You can choose from soups to salads, mediterranean-style dishes and platters as well as desserts, and sit inside (up or down) or outside on the sliver of pavement. The decor is slightly impersonal and cold, so we opted to sit outside and watch the world go by.We ordered 12 oysters, a prawn and mussel combo and two carafes of wine (chardonnay and sauvignon blanc). Three dips were brought out along with four small rolls while we waited. While friendly, the service was a bit hit and miss. The food arrived with no accompanying cutlery and we had to ask twice for it and both dishes came out together so that by the time weâd got our knives and forks, and eaten the oysters, the hot dish was cold. The oysters were however superb, not big, but meaty with a salty start and sweet finish and while the prawns were stunning and perfectly cooked, the mussels were overcooked and bland. The sauces were slightly stodgy (but this seems to be the case in most eateries), as were the accompanying chips, but both wines were very good and at R500 we couldnât complain.Hello Wucie,Thank you for taking the time to review Ocean Basket Camps Bay. We are so happy to read that you enjoyed our food and that certain items were able to impress you. We take pride in our seafood and will use this feedback to improve on the product delivered. "Sea" you soon. Thanks, Ocean Basket

food and ambiance was lovely, however what made our night was Thulani. He is bright, witty and could not do more to accommodate a food allergy which meant we are able to enjoy the szechuan crusted fish with Sea Bass instead of Kinkilp. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!

It was Heritage Day....and we walked here from Company Gardens. Even arrived before it's 6:30 PM opening and Jane was MOST cordial.Liked the atmosphere...sort of funky......our waiter was Simon and he was terrific! The complimentary starter was delicious. the Jordan House Wine "hit the spot". My bengal Fish Curry did NOT measure up to the curry at Seabreeze, but that's OK and hubby had the RUMP in blue cheese and garlic sauce. Superb. However, Jane, the portion of wok veggies that came w/the rump could certainly be MORE ample. Portion of wok veggies MUCH too small.Had a great conversation with the couple at the table next to us.Dinner with tip................R 668. By the time we left most tables were occupied!

Italian flavor and style laced in Camps Bay Cool, resplendent with a splash of Kove Collection abundance. This is Zenzero. Zenzero wraps you shamelessly in 'La Dolce Vita' whilst gently caressing with a cool Atlantic breeze. Italian cuisine is all about f
There are a number of restaurants in this complex, all very similar in style and service. Looks like they are all linked somehow. None the less this food had an Italian bias and could not be faulted. Service was impecable

Located along the world renowned sunset strip of Camps Bay, The Butcher Restaurant offers local premium quality steak and seafood. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Shows their specials on a board so easy to see on the pavement. Not pushy. Relaxed atmosphere. We had 2 meals here. Best prawn platter ever, had a steak and bottle of wine, both delicious. Manager took time with customer to make sure all was well. All staff were helpful and friendly, not pushy. Definitely worth a visit.

The place is beautiful and I just loved the feel and colors. We went for a late dinner (group of 8), so a dim lighting and cozy, relaxed atmosphere. We had no reservation but were seated without much ado and had a great meal. The service wasn't over-the-top on point, but decent, and the food was very nicely presented and good. Prices were a little on the high side but it was a nice experience and worth it.

It is really vibey for afternoon drinks, but if you want to have dinner and a conversation, I would recommend a different restaurant. The music is too loud and at the same time competing with the neighbouring bars.We could not have a normal conversation without having to shout in order to hear each other. We left after drinks to find a more suitable place.Dear Lisak, Thank you very much for your message. Much appreciated. You may have come on a Live Thursdays Event. On Thursdays we do have live music and in deed it is noisier than usually. A lot of people book for these events and the correct balance is sometimes difficult to find. Please do not hesitate to contact the manager so we can make a plan and make sure that you can have a decent conversation during your dinner. Please feel free to send us an email to [email protected] with REF lisakG3778XB and I would be happy to invite chat with you privately. Kind regards, Gilles
