Find out what International restaurants to try in Franschhoek. The village of Franschhoek (French Corner), tucked into the Cape Winelands of South Africa, is known as the country's food and wine capital. Galleries and antique shops fill the tree-lined streets, and vineyards established more than 300 years ago cascade over the hills just outside town. Local activities range from wine-tasting tours to trout fishing and hiking. The Huguenot Memorial Museum honors the town's early settlers, who fled religious persecution in France.

What was once the original waenhuis, or wagon house, of Boschendal has been sensitively restored into our attractive Deli. This family-friendly destination serves delicious breakfasts, lunch, and afternoon tea with tables both in the cosy restaurant and s
We were recommended Boschendal gardens/winery/restaurant/manor house/deli and taken here by friends en route to another destination. After a walk around the gardens we sat outside the cafe/restaurant/deli which was very pleasant with the dappled sun glinting through the trees. My only down was the chickens wandering about under and around the chairs and tables. I am a bit phobic of birds so this was slightly disconcerting for me. We all enjoyed our drinks; my hot chocolate was delicious and everyone else enjoyed their coffees. The food served to other customers looked delicious. My friends said that the famous Boschendal picnic baskets are amazing! We had a look around the deli but did not buy anything as we had no means of keeping it cool on our day out, We did not do the wine tasting either on this visit but have been told it is excellent. I would certainly like to return.

Best Bobotie with a distinct following of local residents enjoying this traditional South African dish. When seated at a table in front of the venue, one cannot help but notice the support from the local residents. Service is excellent, drinks served icy cold and owners present to greet guests too!

Mezze style relaxed dining at your pace not ours. Indoor/Outdoor seating with beautiful green lawns, children's play area under century old Oak trees. A relaxed menu artfully prepared with fresh picked daily produce from our own organic garden. All served
Oak trees, inviting green lawns, an inspired menu with fresh farm produce, masterfully delivered through a collaboration between The Franschhoek Beer Co partner Reuben Riffel. A small menu, however a great selection of dishes, and the food is delicious! fast service and great staff.Thank you for your very positive review and we hope to see you again soon.

Miko is the main restaurant at Mont Rochelle. The food served is a blend of international dishes with a healthy nod to the varied nature of South Africa cuisine, paired naturally with some superb local vintages. Miko is open for non-resident guests, but w
We had great expectations for a lovely Christmas Eve.The evening here was the most expensive in our 3 week trip, which we expected, but it was soured by inconsiderate parents, probably resident, allowing their 3 kids to run around the full restaurant squealing at 9.30 pm and one on the next table to us throwing the cutlery off the table onto the floor. The starters were particularly good that night. The location is very attractive. Sitting on the terrace for pre dinner champagne started the evening well even if it didn't end well for me.Dear Lignum,Thank you for sharing your review following your recent experience in Miko. Whilst we were pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location, your starters, and a pre-dinner Champagne, I was very sorry to hear that you felt as though your experience was affected by other guests. We hope that we might have the opportunity to welcome you back to Miko in the future.Kind regards,James BassonGeneral Manager [email protected]

Country style cuisine Restaurant. Boutique Hotel & Vineyard. Welcoming you to an authentic experience, with fresh local ingredients served by our friendly & professional team.
One of our finest meals while on our Africa adventure and we ate some outstanding food. The menu was delightful, even as a self proclaimed foodie, I didnât know all the terms! We had 3 different mains, it was all beautifully presented and tasty beyond belief. 4 of us fell in love with the Cabernet Sauvignon and purchased bottles to enjoy on the rest of the trip. Staff and service equally as delightful. Not to be missed!Dear Raedio21Thank you very much for sharing your review of your dining experience, here at La Petite Ferme. Cannot agree more with you on our Cabernet Sauv. one of my favorites too. We are delighted that you enjoyed yourself! We are looking forward to having you back next time you are in the area.Best regardsKyle

In the heart of Franschhoek, the acclaimed Monneaux Restaurant offers freshness, creativity, and generosity on every plate, without compromising on technique or elegance. Headed by visionary young chef Calvin Metior as of November 2019, this stalwart of t
Unfortuunately we selected the Tasting Menu. It looked fantastic, in terms of the description, but unfortunately the food itself was very average. I wish we had tried the Tapas instead. Staff were great, really helpful and the shuttle bus back into town is very helpful.

It just seems meant to be that the location of Roca on Dieu Donne is actually translated as Rock on God Given land. This becomes apparent on first observing the iconic views of the Franschoek Valley from the upper deck of the double volume Roca Restaurant
A case of a view without any substance. Waitstaff untrained, dirt nails and shirts. Didnât fill wine glasses, service took forever, brought dessert with meal, entree sized as starter. Expensive!! Hate going to a view restaurant and getting snookered on all else. Donât waste time here. Hi adventuressCAThank you for your feedbackWe value your input and can assure you that this is not the experience that we aim to offer. We will investigate the day in question and ensure that the pitfalls are noted corrected. We do hope that you would visit again in the future so that we can give you the service that we so pride ourselves on and that you deserve.
