Reviews on European food in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. Sipping your way across the Paarl Wine Route is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience this South African town. Besides being part of the Cape Winelands region, Paarl is the place where the Afrikaans language was developed, a linguistic feat that’s commemorated by a dramatic monument. Cheer on your favorite pony at the Polo Club or hit the links at one of the area’s many beautiful golf courses.

Very affordable and unbelievable value - good food and a comprehensive wine list. We loved the old world ambiance â cozy with lots of character and many original antiques. Kobus, the manager, was charming and made us feel very welcome and special and showed us around. The friendly waiter offered excellent service. We can only recommend this stunning property with its beautiful gardens and will definitely become regulars. Well done!

Nestled in Du Toitskloof pass, R101, Amberg Art and Kitchen, is situated. This is a destination for locals and everyone driving through the pass. At the restaurant you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with a breath taking view over the Paarl Valley.
Lovely setting, cosy ambience, great service and delicious Austrian cuisine. Family run business â chef hubby doing a fabulous job in the kitchen, charming wife Clarissa serve and entertain customers and son Dominique making the Austrian Ravioli! Well done, this is becoming a favourite of ours!

Located at the Polo pavilion, overlooking the pristine polo fields, the renowned Polo Club Restaurant and Black Bar offers spectacular views of the polo fields and mountain ranges paired with a unique dining experience.
I feel the prices are ridiculously expensive for extremely small portions. Waiters are somewhat rude . The vibe is quite snobby! The vibe one gets from some of the staff is very condescending. With snarky comments under their breath made towards us as customers sometimes.... not appreciated. ( look Iâm not saying itâs everyone that works here, itâs purely my opinion)

Thank you for a perfect Mother's Day, a superb menu; a clever fusion of traditional South African & Italian dishes served in a harvest-table style of sharing around the table. The setting is rustic, charming and the views are idyllic, all this resulting in a 4 hour lunch, eating, relaxing and chatting with other patrons and joined by talented Chef Morne. Our waitress Priscilla was equally charming and worked her magic around the room with her attentive service. The Retief farm, paired with The Blacksmith's Kitchen & Stubborn Man wines is to be shared and we look forward to seeing what Father's Day has to offer.

We were a large party, consisting of three families. The waiter was very impressive with regard to his people skills, sense of humor and knowledge about the menu. Service was very efficient. The food was delicious and well presented. They moved tables around to seat us just the way we wanted (some in the cool breeze, grandpa away from the wind, children at their own table close to the sliding door, all around a single grouping, etc). We really enjoyed our whole extended lunch experience. Weâll definitely be back. Well done.

This spot has a well-deserved long-standing reputation. Expect to find consistent food (that ever-elusive ingredient to success) and friendly, efficient service thanks to the personal care of the owner, Olivier, and his family team. This popular Paarl res
Had an enjoyable lunch with the great service of Leticia and owner Olivier. Leticiaâs friendliness coupled with Olivierâs attentiveness to details really made our lunch taste even better. We ordered the Duo of Tuna, Brandy Bisque Soup, Prawn Risotto and Spicy seafood spaghetti. Everything was delicious but my wife and I were exceptionally blown away by the Duo of Tuna! It was so amazing and concluded that no other restaurant will be able to do this. A must try if you ever visit them! Will definitely return to this restaurant if I ever get to visit Capetown again!è¿éçæå¡å¾å¥½ãä¸è¥¿ä¹ççå¾å¥½å! ææºä¼ä¸å®è¦å°è¯!

Restaurants and food.
Visited for Saturday lunch. Although the restaurant only had about 5 tables, several waiters and a âhostessâ, service was glacial. Our starter plates and empty glasses remained on the table for 20 minutes before being cleared. We then ordered some wine which after 10 mins still had not arrived after which point we left. We could see the âhostessâ had been made aware of this but seemingly could care less. As for the food, the risotto was completely overcoooked into a mush. Awful.
