La Colombe, one of Cape Town's most well-loved and awarded restaurants. Contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining.
We came with high expectations having eaten here previously and were blown away. The lunch menu is amazing value and not to be missed. We also did the wine pairing which I am not sure we would do again, but good to try, the portions were very much on the small side. Our waitress was very friendly in fact she put us onto kayaking at Wilderness which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Buitenverwachting offers a elegantly casual dining experience, with design and menu reflecting the authentic character of the wine estate. A new wine library was established for pre-dinner drinks and tasting experience of rare and vintage wines.
A favourite restaurant of mine and food, presentation, wine and service were,as usual, high class.mAybe we picked an unfortunate day because there was hardly anybody in the restaurant which is very unusual.Hope this was just a blip and for sure it is not a reflection on the quality of both food and service here.
Vida pioneered the way to bring that authentic European espresso bar culture, infused with that unique energetic African flavour to Longbeach, Noordhoek.
I like the coffee at Vida. They also have great rolls and sweet treats to enjoy on the go. The service is tops and its always busy, no surprise! Their coffees are steamingly hot but nice to know that they take the time to offer a gorgeously hot latte too, not just a tepid one like you get at many take away coffee places. They stock delicious fresh fruit salads and fruit bowls as well as other yummy savouries. Their savoury muffin is one for the books!

We found the establishment to be on the shabby side but perhaps that is the intent - service and welcome was poor and the food very average poorly constructed fare. Ambience just on a street overlooking a railway line - disappointing offering and the coffee poor.

Great location & good service. But the seafood platter was overpriced (prawns, Kob, fish cakes & chips). The prawns were tasty, but the Kob was bland & overcooked. The fish cakes were nothing spectacular. I would rather drive a little further and go to Kalk Bay for dinner.

Hubby and I were travelling as part of a group and our scheduled lunch stop was Dixies Restaurant. Please keep in mind that this review is NOT based on the menu as a whole but rather what we were offered as a group meal.We were served hake and it was VERY underwhelming. For many of the people in our group the fish wasn't even cooked and in fact, one of our travellers ended up getting sick.I will say that the food that was being ordered off the menu at other tables looked good as it was being served but I can't say the same about our meal.NO, we wouldn't go back.We are terribly sorry to hear of your experience at Dixies. Please could you provide us with the date that you visited Dixies so that we can do an internal investigation. It is a pity, that this was not reported to management on the day so that we could have rectified this issue immediately. Once again, we apologise profusely.

Welcome to Cape Point Vineyards, uniquely set in the Cape Peninsula where the backdrop of the famous Chapmans Peak and the nearby Atlantic Ocean, not only make for the perfect terroir for world class Sauvignon Blanc, but also a phenomenal setting to spend
We went here with the family for the Thursday food market. The market was really good with lovely food, but to be honest, we founds the vineyards wines less than stellar. Still, if you are in the area on a Thursday it is a nice place to visit in particular for families with children.

At the Foodbarn Restaurant, we serve the food that Franck is famous for ⦠delicious and decadent âfine-diningâ style food but in a super relaxed and characterful old barn. At the Deli during the day, you are invited into our âhome-from-homeâ by the tantal
We took advantage of the very reasonable winter special paired with wines for lunch and it was incredible. Not only is the food absolutely superb but the service we received was some of the best we have experienced anywhere. Our waiter was attentive and informative yet was not overbearing with his presence during the meal, which is a difficult thing to get right. We never wanted for anything but at all times felt like we were having an intimate meal together (which was important as it was our wedding anniversary). One really nice touch about their 3 course special is that you can swap desserts for starters so we got to share 3 starters, each had a main and then shared 1 dessert which was perfect. All round the perfect experience and as food and wine lovers we're glad we picked here for our first anniversary.
