Stayed 3 nights for a wedding that was held on the property. The grounds and surrounds are beautiful. The chalets are very comfortable and well equipped, more or less just needed to bring own food. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The function centre overlooks a large lake. The staff at the wedding reception were totally amazing, nothing was too much trouble and their friendly and welcoming attitude was outstanding. A big call out to Cara and Maggie, thank you both for making it such a wonderful and memorable occasion. Can also highly recommend the catering company that was engaged for the canapés and meal, Nosh Catering, thank you.

Bay Village Resort & Spa Dunsborough, a 2.5 hour drive south of Perth, offers one of Australia's most unique and safe regional holiday experiences, located right in the hub of Dunsborough, a friendly, relaxed seaside holiday town in the ever-popular South West "playground" of Western Australia. The resort has an extensive range of accommodation styles from 3.5*- 4.5* to suit all budgets. We rented a two storey unit for three of us. There is a heap of room and right in the centre of Dunsborough so very central to walk around town. With a full kitchen it was easy to cook breakfast or have dinner in and a quiet night. Great if a group of friends want to stay together.

These apartments are individually owned but have some issues in common. There is no check in office on site, just a sign saying "THIS IS NOT RECEPTION" on the window of the first apartment on the left. It would have been helpful if they had added where check in was, but no such luck. Eventually another guest who was in the carpark informed us that check in was next door at The River so a gaggle of lost guests trooped there to pick up keys. Our apartment had a lot of outside stairs which were hard for a person with arthritic knees to negotiate, so we asked for a change. The reception people at The River were kind enough to find us another apartment but still had inside stairs (all the apartments do). None of the apartments has wifi or Foxtel and ours did not have a coffee maker. Our apartment was large, 3 bedrooms plus ensuite plus another bathroom plus a toilet and laundry downstairs, but shabby. The carpet had holes in it and the lounge was so old and dirty that my dog would have rejected it. There was a list of things we were not to do, such as move the furniture around without prior permission from Management, and to only use half a detergent tablet in the dishwasher if it was not a full load. We did sneakily move the chairs closer to the TV so we could see it and found a dead mask behind the couch. The shower is an old fashioned water saving model and the impression we got was that the apartment was designed to get maximum return for minimum guest comfort.

This was a good value 3 bed, 2 bath house which I picked as was not far from Fiona Stanley Hospital, when I needed some surgery. It was really good value at $100 night. Beds were comfortable, brand new bathrooms with a fabulous large tub in one of them. The only downer was on a busy road, but had roller shutters you could put down so that helped and I wear ear plugs at night,so I slept great. Has a full kitchen and a garage and off street parking. Has a door code so no key and once Ifigured it out was much easier than a key. Would stay here again.

Unlike a red, some things don’t get better with age and worth more. Oh dear… what can I say, the bulldozer missed this place. Clearly they are waiting for the re-development opportunity and in the meantime charging CBD rates in a new hotel. It’s kept clean and tidy, staff are great it’s but well overdue for money to be spent.

We stayed in a one bedroom unserviced unit at $1900 for 5 nights. We were given a disabled unit on the edge of the complex next to workers area and I assume carpark. It would have been nice to be informed prior to arriving and given the opportunity to decline and stay elsewhere in suitable unit. The bathroom and shower were most unsuitable. Very low basin not suitable for tall people which made shaving washing face etc very challenging. Outdoor shower drained slowly and was not suitable in the unseasonable cold and rain. We were woken daily prior to 7.00am by workers arriving with radios blaring and doors slamming. Very uncomfortable furniture. The unit is generally tired and shabby. One PowerPoint did not work and several gave error message on our devices "unable to charge change PowerPoint". Light above sink came on and off intermittently. The complex is in a good location close to bus stop, cable beach and eateries. We have been travelling to Broome for over 20 years and and are well aware of local standards.

Cold day, the heater was on when we arrived. The Bali music was already playing. As close as you could get to Bali without actually being there. Plenty of basic foods already supplied, condiments, tissues, tea/coffee etc (good pods), all toiletries, bath salts, kitchen roll etc. Plenty of crockery and saucepans etc, good electric cooktop. Great communication with Sharon - she was always offering to pick stuff, or drop things off. The place was very clean. Water pressure excellent - better than Perth. Quite secluded, and very peaceful. Spa was great. Close to town, restaurants, and highly recommended. Hopefully we get to return.
