For the first course we have Pemaquid Mussels with shallots, white wine, leek & chive cream, fine herbs and Maine Crab Cake with smoked paprika aioli, pickled red peppers, arugula. For the main course we both had Lavender Marinated Duck Breast with duck confit, braised radish, roasted cauliflower puree, melted leek. It was all served in a relax manner. The noise level was just enough so that it did not interfere with your conversation.

The pastries here are wonderful and the fresh baked bread are also fantastic. My favorite are the cream horns. Try one and you will not be disappointed.

We tried this take out and decided to eat in their small restaurant. It was quite crowded so we took that as a good sign that the food was good. We were not disappointed. Delicious Chinese Food. Wish we had one in Hudson, Florida.
This was my second time here for take-out. I went mid-day on a weekday and ordered at the counter, food came up fast, service was just okay as the staff were cordial but not exactly friendly. I got the chicken with mushrooms in brown sauce, pork fried rice, and crab rangoon. The food quality is good and provided two meals for under $9.00. I would go back again.

Portland's only authentic Italian gelato shop! Welcome to paradise !!
We've been going to Gorgeous Gelato since they opened & it is so much better than any other gelato in Portland. It's rich, creamy, and so fresh. There are so many sweet and fruity flavors to choose from. Being lactose intolerant, they always have a few non-dairy options.

Artisanal, European breads and pastries for takeaway. Slow-fermented, hand-crafted breads and classic pastries with a local twist, carefully prepared by our small crew of skilled bakers. Breakfast pastries, cookies, traditional baguettes, naturally-leavened organic breads made with local grains, seasonal and daily specials. We also provide limited seating outdoors seasonally.
This bakery is simply awesome! Went on Easter morning and it was running as efficiently as could be even with the lines of people and special orders. The assortment of baked goods to chose from is fantastic. Deliciousness!

Emilitsa is a Greek restaurant located in the arts district of Portland, Maine and boasts a contemporary and casual atmosphere. Emilitsa brings a wide array of Mezethes (small plates), Megala Piata (large plates), and pristinely fresh seafood to the seacoast area. We honor the breadth of traditional cuisine from all regions of Greece. We prepare our Greek dishes with as many local, fresh, organic and natural ingredients as are available to us. We also accommodate those with food allergies.
Our son's in-laws in Chicago are Greeks by heritage and conviction, so we habe been treeted to their cuisine-- excellent at home and in their favorite restaurants, but mostly traditional and conventional. Emilitsa re-imagines many of those dishes, so they manage to surprise, and to delight in new ways. Service is friendly and professional, and it's a delight to be able converse with friends without cupping your ears or straining to hear. This is one of the favorite restaurants we recommend to friends when they visit Portland.

Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine with a touch of Maine. Serving Vietnamese Classics such as PHO, Banh Mi, and Grill vermicelli and rice plates.
Another solid entry in the Vietnamese category. This is our second visit to Phoever. The first was just OK. I have to say or second experience was much improved. We got there pretty early for dinner and the hostess and waitress was extremely friendly. She was explaining the menu. There was a drink special on our favorite beer. Appetizers were buy one get one free. We ordered the beef appetizer as well as spring rolls which were both excellent. The bowl of pho was solid. A bit limited in the side vegetables but they were happy to bring more when we asked. The scallion pancake with lettuce wraps were fantastic. There are a lot of good options now a days for good Vietnamese food. If you happen to be in Westbrook can't go wrong with this one.

Isa is a cozy neighborhood bistro serving an eclectic, yet seasonally driven menu. Open for lunch and dinner daily and closed Tuesday. We offer a brunch menu in addition to the lunch menu on Saturday and Sunday. Open all day.
Eight of us dined here again, although it was my 1st visit. I am a vegetarian who also does not eat foods made of eggs, so I sometimes have very limited options dining out. That was the case, unfortunately, for me at Isa's. After viewing the menu the day before, I even had called ahead to explore options....but all their vegetarian entrees are made with eggs and they didn't offer to get creative for me. I ended up eating the Cheese Plate starter, a side of brussel sprouts and the Roasted Beet Salad for my main course, which was fortunately sizable and delicious. No dessert for me, not even ice cream.
However, the other 7 of us had wonderful dinners....fabulously chunky lobster chowder, steaks cooked just right with french fries and green beans, lasagna with freshly made egg noodles, and one said "the best ever" pork chop with Dijon mustard/butter sauce. Delicate Flan, liquer-infused Roasted Pear.
This little corner restaurant has lots of charm: black and white tiled floors, tin ceiling painted black, exposed brick walls, and the tables are nicely spaced. We had fine service and a wonderful dinner together. If my family wanted to return, I would be glad to...but unless the menu changes, my options would not increase.

What is a gastro pub?” Gastronomy is the study of preparing and consuming food. A pub is a neighborhood spot for affordable food and good times. When you combine the two you get a neighborhood spot with a focus on food prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.
My first experience of this amazing restaurant was in a business setting. I DJ’d a private awards gala and was blown away.
The staff was friendly, accommodating and extremely courteous. As far as the food is concerned personally I never new that Westbrook had such a fine dining type restaurant as The Frog & Turtle.
James and crew worked to make the food unique, favorable and hot. They didn’t make the food hours before. I saw them make it right there on the spot.
I’d recommend the Frog & Turtle to anyone.
