Stayed her on 27th May for one night, couldn't fault one iota of the visit, staff friendly, welcoming and can't do enough for you, room was spotlessly clean as was the en suite, beautiful countryside views from bedroom window, bed so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. Opted for the Yorkshire breakfast, very tasty locally sourced farm produce perfectly cooked and presented. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer, felt almost part of the family, I would certainly recommend this place 100% and Im sure I will return in the not too distant future.

Visited as part of a wedding party. There was barely anyone else in the whole place and the service was very average. The staff were slow and tried to take a dessert order mid way through the speeches. Bar staff were up themselves and the food was ok, they couldn’t cook a fillet of beef properly it was just disappointing. The food and service could be so much better, it’s just a shame no one takes the time or effort to appreciate someone’s special day.

A pub for more than 400 years, The Swan & Talbot in Wetherby has a long history and was once a posting inn on the Great North Road. The Swan & Talbot Pub and Restaurant has been a popular haunt for many of Wetherby’s locals and destination diners for many years and continues the tradition with decor oozing charm and character.
It was ok, but we were there mid management change. Which showed. The big annoyance was that they don’t take Scottish money. So much for “in it together”. Would give it another try after new management has settled in

Five Star historic listed family-run country house serviced apartments (for 2 to 4 guests) and cottages (up to 10 guests) on the very edge of Ilkley Moor in Wharfedale. Peaceful location yet rail station is just a ten minute walk (directly to Leeds 30 minutes). Minimum stay 2 nights. Leisure facilities and award winning gardens. Ideal for business stays and short-breaks. Great alternative to corporate hotels!
We are regulars at Westwood Lodge, visiting our daughter and family who live locally, and have stayed in both the cottages and the apartments very happily. We recently had to cancel our trip for this w/e, due to local Covid restrictions making our trip not viable - we are unable to visit their home or garden and, because I've been shielding, we are not going inside public places, this despite dreadful weather. We have agonised about our trip and losing it. Can I say Westwood Lodge were wonderful, exemplary customer service and so very kind, it has made all the difference. Thankyou so much. Added to your great hospitality over recent years, this, not least given the current challenges of the hospitality industry you are facing, sets you apart and above on quality of service. Thankyou. You deserve an award and, when the time comes, I will recommend you.

I ve seen a few negative reviews about this small hotel. This wasn't at all our experience.our room was spacious, clean and quiet. Sunny the manager was great he recommended Akbar restaurant which if you adore Indian/Pakistani food done to the highest standards....food to die for Akbar, You hon and Mylahore all brilliant. Ofcourse this is a budget hotel but it represents unbeatable value and the manager is a very nice guy.The car parking feels more than secure....we felt fine leaving our car there, it's a brand new one and i had absolutely no problem. I highly recommend and this is our place to stay when in Leeds.

Very difficult to find since no building signage, offical directions are look for dustbin with number 2. Deposit of £1 demanded but you can't pay reception on arrival as there is none. You have to pay over the phone, impossible if you don't have a smartphone. Then they refused to answer my calls. I was left outside in the cold and rain of a winter evening until I complied. Another customer kindly let me into the communal kitchen. The good Samaritan rang on their phone and explained I had no smartphone - which I had already said. So the hidden receptionist ungraciously agreed to take card details by phone. Official entry is by keycard, code is changed overnight. Notification of new number is again by phone, but since I'm of an age which only uses phones in emergency I didn't get the message until hours later. Hence I couldn't comply with the demand to put the keys back into the keysafe. A wildly unsatisfactory experience - and they gamed the booking system by claiming I hadn't stayed. Hence I was unable to write any adverse review on the booking system. Moral: don't book unless you have a smartphone. It's service with a snarl. My £1 was never refunded, but I was able to reclaim it from my card provider.
