Since the early 1900s, West Yellowstone has provided a tourist-friendly gateway to the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and its resident bison, bears and elk. This Rocky Mountain enclave in southwestern Montana is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dog sledding in winter; trout fishing in fall; birding, biking and hiking in spring; and summer parades and rodeos. In-town eateries and attractions are an easy stroll from local lodging.

Visited while visiting Yellowstone. Somehow found the Book Peddler. Americano coffee was great, blueberry scones fantastic. They bake early in the morning to create fresh food. Really cool place...saw young people and old people...I'm in between...haha.. Owner Amy was there early when we were there...very nice person, who works hard and is working hard to make it and raise her family. Visit this place, you will be glad you did.

Full range of espresso and tea drinks, breakfast burritos, muffins, cookies, banana breads and we carry both buffalo and beef jerky as well as pepperoni sticks. Ice cream including Huckleberry, in waffle or cake cones and cups. We are open Mothers Day to the end of September. Hours 7am to 9pm. We are on the corner of Canyon Street & Yellowstone just before you enter the west gate of Yellowstone National Park.
Cute little coffee stand with outside seating. Walk up to order your latte. Espress, cappuccino or coffee. They had muffins and snacks available too. There was another coffee shop on Dunraven St, but they didn't open until later in the morning. The ladies at Espresso West were open early and had a small line of people waiting but it moved fairly quickly!

I went in and had a great Mocha and even better service. The Barista was sweet and friendly. The Mochas was very good. The shop also has great outdoor gear and clothes.

Open later during summer. Great ice cream Come visit our new yogert bar YUM!!!
Went there on a recommendation of a friend and all we can say is wow! We got the ice cream or you have a choice of the Nella or chocolate and you add your toppings, ice cream tasted fabulous and the toppings were amazing! There are so many to choose from to include a local favorite, huckleberries. The owner, Pilar, couldn't have been nicer! Fabulous treat and we will be back!!!

Cafe Madriz brings the authentic taste of Spanish cuisine to southwest Montana all in a family friendly atmosphere. The Cafe Madriz experience is all about the food, the wine and the company.Enjoy everything homemade from scratch, hot and cold tapas, soups, salads and desserts. Also featuring imported products including Manchego cheese, Serrano ham, chorizos and many more. And of course, we serve PAELLA, our signature dish and arguably the most internationally recognized dish from Spain.
Cafe Madriz was a great find in West Yellowstone. We were looking for something different than you western steakhouse or pizza joint. This small restaurant provided personal service and great food. The pork skewers and shrimp dishes were particularly great, but everything was very good. Will definitely return on our next visit to West Yellowstone.

We walked here from our hotel. We all ordered our dishes and they were all perfect and hot. The atmosphere was cozy and it smelled great. We were a large group and we got seated right away. All of our food was great and hot. After breakfast we were ready to ride. We would stop here again.

This is a great coffee and tea shop as well as a bakery. Very friendly and helpful staff for travelers new to Yellowstone.
The beans are roasted there and the owner is very knowledgeable. Don't be thrown off by his harsh demeanor, the coffee flavor is delicious, not bitter, and totally worth it. You better take some beans home with you because I'm regretting not having some to smell in the car on the way home.

Homemade Ice cream Homemade waffle cones Homemade hot fudge We take pride in the quality of our hand crafted ice cream and friendly service.
Can't visit the western states without eating a huckleberry. They had great choices with both plain huckleberry and a huckleberry lavender. Kids had strawberry and cookies and cream. Very tasty and creamy. Could tell it was real. A little expensive, but to be expected in this type of town and the portions were big!

Restaurant converted from an old school bus.
Give the school bus a try. It's average, but in this town, average is the best you'll get. Typical range of plates with rice and refried beans. Cheap and filling.

Decent pizza, although Calamity Jane (white sauce, ricotta, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, garlic & diced tomatoes) could have used a bit more flavor. Good crust. Wings were disappointing--spicy, but texture was somewhat mushy. Good service
