This is definitely a place to avoid; hard to access off very busy dual 4-lane intersection, very poor and impersonal service and absolutely terrible food.

Employee was making tacos and NOT wearing gloves.....he was using his bare hands!!! Then we saw another male employee walk outside and back into the restaurant enter behind the counter and did not wash his hands. We left the restaurant and did not order anything. We were in town visiting my mother who lives in the area and she said the food is always terrible. Maybe there is a reason why. Very unsanitary! They need to be reported to the Kanawha Charleston health Dept.

Passing through town and wanted to sit down for dinner. The best part about this place was the service. Everything else was mediocre at best. The kids don't even like the fries. My brisket tacos were less than impressive and lacked flavor. My husband quesadilla was wrong the first time and ok the second. The chips and salsa we ok as well.

Just Off Freeway
We found the service to be mediocre, the food a step below other mexican restaurants in the area and the prices are much higher. The cheese dip is thin and watery. The fajitas are poorly seasoned. Staff seem uninterested in their jobs.

We ordered takeaway here via GrubHub to the Residence Inn in Charleston. The food arrived promptly and was plentiful - we ordered the Cheesy Bean Dip, which was a nice blend of refried beans, red chili enchilada sauce, cheese and sour cream. The salsa was AMAZING and by far one of my favorite salsas that I've ever tasted from a TexMex place. I couldn't get enough of the salsa, which was refreshing and had nice kick to it. Our food was delivered very quickly, despite us being a decent distance from the actual restaurant, and the delivery driver was pleasant. â¤The food was tasty and to-the-point. My husband and I ordered the Tequila Lime Grilled Chicken Taco, the Shrimp Grilled Battered Taco, and the Cheese and Onion Enchilada. All were delicious and fit the bill perfectly, there was nothing that was unexpected or unnecessarily added on to distract from the strong flavor combinations. They were also generous with the chips, giving us two bags of tortilla chips.
My wife attends meetings at the State Capital once each month. While she meets, I explore the area looking for new places to have lunch and dinner. Literally stumbled upon Rocas Mexican Grill, it was great. Funny that no one has submitted reviews on it here, I loved it. Typical of Mexican restaurants, chips and salsa was delivered to my table in a flash and it was delicious. I ordered a cup of Tortilla Soup and Chili Rellenos with rice and beans. It was too much, I left the place totally stuffed and very satisfied. A lot to these restaurants advertise "Authentic Mexican." I find most have there own recipes and nuances, some more TexMex than authentic. This one was really great.
the food is good the servers are nice. It is the register that gets you- you are never charged what the menu states is the price always higher. So it is sketchy at best!
While our passion for extraordinary food is what inspired Los Amigos Mexican Resturant, it's the people - our team members and our guests - that breathe a remarkable life into our location. Their devotion and character are what gives Los Amigos, in Charle
The restaurant was great. The people were very friendly and great service. Menu selection was really good -- much more than I expected. The food was delicious. Located in North Charleston off I64 -- easy to find. It is on my list to visit again while in Charleston.

I had the beef tips chimichanga. It was the best flavorful I'd ever had. I've eaten at many Mexico restaurants. Clean and friendly staff. Even though I was dining alone due to a business trip, they treated me as just important as the larger tables. Next trip....this place is at the top of my list for must eat there!
