Reviews on Italian food in Wheeling, West Virginia, United States. Wheeling is a city in Ohio and Marshall counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Located almost entirely in Ohio County, of which it is the county seat, it lies along the Ohio River in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Wheeling was originally a settlement in the British colony of Virginia and later an important city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Wheeling was the first state capital of West Virginia. Due to its location along major transportation routes, including the Ohio River, National Road, and the B&O Railroad, Wheeling became a manufacturing center in the late nineteenth century. After experiencing the closing of factories and substantial population loss following World War II, Wheeling's major industries now include healthcare, education, law and legal services, entertainment and tourism, and energy.

Eat In Now is an online ordering and delivery service located in the Ohio Valley. We service Belmont and Ohio County and we have over 25 restaurants from Wheeling, St Clairsville, Bellaire and Shadyside. We deliver the hot food hot and the cold food cold.
This service being offered in the Greater Wheeling is very good. I like that we can place orders for a large number of restaurants in the area that do not offer delivery and have you meals delivered. We use it at work for both casual lunches as well as when we have quests. I allows you to have a better varied menu than the normal pizza and sub sandwiches.
Papa John's is pretty good, but not my first choice. It just never tastes fresh, even when it is just out of the oven there. It's probably my third choice of pizza places in Wheeling.

Have you ever eaten dessert pizza? If not, you may want to try Greco's. Greco's is a small Italian restaurant in Wheeling, WV. It offers a "sit down" menu or buffet style dinner. I prefer the buffet! The different styles of pizza, pasta and desserts are amazing. If you are looking for a small, out of the way restaurant, you can't go wrong with Greco's. Come early on buffet nights because sitting is limited.

We did not feel like going out for dinner after doing some shopping in the area. We called for delivery. They deliver to the Wilson Lodge. They deliver to the front check in desk. We tried a small thin crust pizza supreme pizza. It was okay. It was burnt around the edges, so we had to peel that away to eat the pizza. It had plenty of toppings. Also tried was the rib eye steak sub. It was pretty good. It had plenty of meat and was tasty, but they should grill their onions and get a different sub roll. It was hard around the edges as well. I had to peel that away to eat the sub. Overall okay but room to be better.

Really it's just dough, sauce and uncooked cheese. But eat one and you can't stop. Inexplicably addictive.

I don't know if the kitchen was lazy or incompetent on the night we visited, but we had been looking forward to a great meal at this highly rated place and were disappointed. My wife ordered Veal Piccata. Rather than being pounded flat and tender, as the waitress had volunteered, the veal was tough and thick. What's more it had been coated with bread crumbs and apparently fried. Probably a leftover piece of Veal Parmesan. The edge of the plate had a mound of capers, obviously not cooked in a sauce with lemon, butter and white wine. I had in fact thought about ordering the Veal Parmesan, but the menu indicated the veal was covered with melted provolone rather than mozzarella, and there was no mention of Parmesan cheese. So I made a mistake of ordering the Fig's Famous Appetizer over Fettuccine as a main course. The addition of onions to a sauce already sweetened with minced onions and perhaps some sugar made it cloying, especially since the sweetness overpowered whatever garlic and oregano the dish contained, if any.The bread though fresh wasn't warmed, possibly to keep the garlic butter unnecessarily slathered on top from melting. The diner-quality salad had a ring of red onion an inch thick.Positives. The place is obviously popular and had a good atmosphere. The waitstaff was pleasant. And there are some reasonably priced bottles of wine.VincentvanGoGo, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry that your experience did not match your expectations on this visit. We apologize. It was an uncommon instance. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance to serve you. Thank you, VincentvanGoGo.
