As the areas premiere California Pizzeria,Café del Sol specializes in handmade gourmet pizzas, signature sandwiches, pastas, and salads.
The food is wonderful, from the appetizers to the main course. Love their Salads, which are packed with healthy and delicious eats. The wait staff are very attentive as well. Very clean atmosphere. The food has a fun variety; wraps, quesadillas, chicken, pork, etc...always a great experience eating here. We've also done take out. Does not disappoint!

Located in the HartWood Mansion and grounds south of Martinsburg, WV, this venue combines first rate ambience with outstanding food and even has several suites for overnight or longer stays. The owners spent years of loving effort in creating a welcoming, friendly environment and wonderful food presentations. Their efforts to maintain and enhance this Neo-Georgian Revival Style 10,000 plus square foot mansion [with 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds including flowing trees, woodlands, and gardens] merit equal recognition. We have enjoyed Purple Iris restaurant offerings for about 20 years and stayed in a beautiful fireplace equipped suite several times. We really enjoy the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere and delicious food. Our New Year 2018 celebration prompted this review. We dined in the âwhite pavilionâ, often the site of wedding receptions. Food on the overflowing buffet included soups, hot and cold seafood [my favorite crab cakes, shrimp and so on] salad assortments, side dishes ranging from various potato preparations to green beans with almonds, prime rib beef, cheeses and crackers as well as a desert assortment [chocolate mousse parfait, cakes, cheese cake and crème brûlée] and other accompaniments. Throughout the dinner, attentive wait staff cleared used dishes and refilled drinks. An additional grace note, guitar music performed live by a talented artist further enhanced our experience. We will continue to make the Purple Iris our special event locale even though it now means several hours on the road to get there.

We had a family dinner, with two small ones, six in all. The wait staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. We were not rushed, drinks were refilled, and when one of the steaks was medium well, rather than medium rare, it was quickly removed, and a properly cooked one brought to the table.Alas, the food was not up to the service. The prime rib was dry and tough. As I said above, one of the steaks was not cooked properly. After we all were back in our hotel and compared notes, none of us were happy with the food. I might add, none of us, save the two year old are very picky. We're sorry to hear this, Rob. Please give us a call at 1-844-6LOGANS, so we can follow up with your concerns. Thanks.

The choices are your classic diner favorites, prepared and served as you might expect. I have been a few times and each visit was different from the last. It's all fine, but things like servers forgetting about you at your table, unevenly cooked food makes it hard to go above an average. When it's good, it's quite tasty, when it's not.....well, it's not.

In town for a concert and was looking for a place for dinner and saw this and decided to give it a try. It's absolutely worth a stop! The ribs were tender and delicious, the chicken just amazing and the slaw was perfect. Staff was friendly and service was fast. If you are looking for a place to eat in the area just stop here and fill up. You get plenty of food and fast friendly service. Two thumbs way up!!

Had lunch today with my wife. Had to wait nearly 30 minutes for a table but it was worth it. I had a country vegetable plate for 799. I enjoy the veggies here. Had green beans, turnip greens, Brussel sprout and kale salad and fried apples. Wife had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and salad. Pretty good lunch after the wait.

First off - not fine dining. We ate at the bar area, beneath a large screen TV. During a bowling show. 1/2 lb of steamed shrimp was amazing. Had to be 3/4 - all jumbo shrimp. A little spicy, but lemon solved that problem. Wife loved her fried oyster dinner. Too much to eat. Had to take some home. I had a large piece of fish that I found to be tough. Should have tried the salmon. Cole slaw and french fries were excellent. The wine and beer prices were overly fair. Call it cheap. 3 Yuenglings for less than $6.00. Nuts!! I picked the wrong meal, but the night turned out great. Will visit when in the area again.

Growing up on the water in coastal NC, almost always I find seafood restaurants this far away from the coast disappointing; not with this one! Stumbled upon it, when I took the wrong exit. Six o'clock, Friday night. Place was packed. Parking was tough. Only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, though, and service was speedy. Had fried scallops and shrimp. Met the the three criteria of good fried seafood: fresh, add next to nothing to it, put it in the fryer only for a second. Serving size was adequate, not humongous, but the price, $20, was pretty fair for the quantity and QUALITY I received. Great attitude in staff. Clean, but plain...looks just like a typical "you come here for the food, not the atmosphere" seafood place on the coast...in other words, it says, "Good eats!" I will be back.

Food was smaller plate than anticipated but it ended up being just enough. Wine selection is wonderful and prices for bottle service are decent. Food is on the higher end but is presented lovely and is tasty. Decor is modern and updated for the historic downtown area while maintaining the old building feel. I appreciate that they are a part of revitalization of the area and attracting people to support and eat locally when itâs so easy to eat from large corporate chains off 81. Thanks for the kind review. WE hop to have you back many more times!
