Went there an evening and got Mie goreng chicken, it was really good and I would recomend it for other people too. They have so much different food. Indonesian and more western. The only thing was that the staff didn't really connect with any guests.

Small local Warung type place with cheap and delicious fruit bowls and cheap and delicious Indonesian food. Also ordered French fries with guacamole which was surprisingly good as well. Recommend this place if you are passing by! Owner/manager was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating

We visited this restaurant after several recommendations and intrigue from our âdrive-bysâ. We arrived and ordered drinks and 2 different pasta dishes. Another couple arrived around 10 minutes after we did, ordered the same dishes/ food and were served within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food to be cooked and served. I went to speak to the waitress and the head chef intervened and asked what the issue was. I explained and he mumbled some lame excuse/ reason as to why we hadnât received our order - it was clear the waitress staff had mixed the orders up and served our food to the couple next to us instead. We politely paid the drinks bill and left for a different Italian restaurant around the corner.Iâm sure if we visited again we would have a much more positive experience and would enjoy the food. However, we would be reluctant to visit again due to such a negative and disappointing experience.Taking a few minutes to write to ours amazing future guest who will came visit us in perla nera. Perla nera is not that kind of restaurant that after a mean review will contact you to invite you to eat again for free. Your opinion is always very welcome but no free food sorry. Perla nera re-opened only 7 days ago after a very long 10 months closing time due to the earthquake of last year. It as been an amazing, hard, challenging 7 days reopening with a brand new menu and a completely new team composed by 8 amazing new staff. And we would love to thanks all these amazing people that followed us and helped us re-open again. For this we are very very grateful. However we do apologise if we can not be perfect on service yet. We will get there This is what we love to do and no matter how many bad reviews we will receive we will try our best every day. To all that people that clearly have no idea what is happening behind a simple pasta dish please be aware that there are people working for you sometime struggling trying their best to make you happy. Especially when pasta and sauce are not pre-cooked.Please help us make your experience unforgettable. And give you the best service possible. If you can not see your pasta within 20 minutes on your table (please do not wait 45minutes before complaint) please simply ask politely about your order. We have been dining at Biba for 5 years now . We originally stayed at Biba and our only reason for staying elsewhere was because it doesnât have a pool . The food served at the restaurant is excellent , pasta and pizza sooo good . If on Giliair a must for dinner , also the position on the beach is lovely .

We werenât expecting that you could actually find so crunchy and tasty pizzas in Gili Air. This place have a proper wood-fired oven, friendly staff and rather nice atmosphere as well. Strongly recommend to those who wish to have pizza Friday (or can come up with any other excuse for eating pizza) while staying in Gili Air. :)

...loved it. Great tuna steak, fries and prawns. Nice little place to have a rest and enjoy the beautiful island. The owner adi is a nice guy who helps with good Information and some interesting insights to Gili Air. Cannot follow some negativ comments concerning waiting time. If you want your meal in 3minutes, better visit Mc Donalds. :)

its a story of an Italian couple who met far far away from their homeland, a spear Italian fisherman and a super Italian chef, he was her fish supplier before they fall for each other, in no time they got married and built a there dream together on a micro island in Indonesia (Gili Air ) and still building it, a resort with a 6 table Italian restaurant hidden in the heart of Gili Air, it's so romantic and inspiring.The food is super, felt like my wife and I are dinning in an Italian home in Sicilia.A great value of money.It was a fantastic honeymoon treat.

Itâs hard to believe we found pizza this delicious in such an out of the way place. Itâs even harder to believe it exceeded our expectations after reading other reviews here. The crust is spectacular, made from a real sourdough starter apparently. I couldnât make this at home this good, and theyâre doing it on Gili Air. We had the Scaprese and added olives, garlic, and capers. It went well with the chili oil (I think adding peppers wouldâve been good, too). Iâm still investigating, and committing myself to the search, but This is definitely in the running for best pizza in Asia.
