Reviews on Chinese food in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Bogor is near enough to Jakarta to be a suburb but is also the third largest city in Indonesia and was once capital of the Sunda Kingdom. The city is at a slightly higher elevation than Jakarta and so offers a respite from the high temperatures and humidity of the city. With a world renowned botanical garden and a presidential palace (including massive herds of tiny deer), Bogor offers enough attractions to be worthy of a side trip of several days. Bogor is renowned for having a wide variety of cuisine and also offers golf courses, tennis and other recreational activities.

Not quite much menus, but good taste. Has balconies with good views of mountain, and pool of the hotel 101. Unfortunately, people can smoke in the balcony, and so much wind then you can smell it from inside also.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday night. Very big space restaurant and parking space. Only the access to the restaurant is to much traffic because of some construction around the restaurant. For the food is very good. I called it heaven for seafood. Many variant food available, such as fish, chicken, prawn, vegetables, satay, etc. The price is average but the taste of the food is very good taste.Once your order is made only around 20 minutes the order has came. Very quick right. I recommended you to visit this restaurant.
The food and the price were quite nice. And the location was just right next to Taman Kencana which was so convenient. But it was not what I expected before. I've always liked outdoor restaurants and when it's said that it's a semi-outdoor restaurant, I set high hopes. The restaurant was a little bit lacking in lighting since the area was somehow covered with low traditional ceilings. But they provided us with free phone charging and good wifi. And one thing that bothered me a lot was cats. I don't mind seeing cats but I don't like how it stared hungrily while I was eating my fish. I got jumpy and the whole dining experience was ruined. Please do something about that.Oh and you got free tea, so you don't have to order drinks which were quite overpriced

Popularity of this restaurant seems declining. Available product highlights are range of klappertart in different flavours and some cakes. It was quite empty when i got there. Hope they could find a way to revamp and attract some crowd

A friend recommended this place for its frog leg dishes. All 13 of us enjoyed the fried buttered frog legs, fried battered frog legs, some veggies, fried noodles, and chicken steak. I love the old Chinese restaurant style ambiance. Good foods with reasonable prices.

This is a well known Bogor restaurant, and one that I can recommend. Its clean, spacious and on a hot day, is cool inside ! The menu is easy to read and understand, There are food items, drinks and my favorite, fruit smoothies available. Prices are reasonable, however you have to understand that you need to find a menu, then get a menu order pad, and a pen and write your own order ! Once completed, you then give this to the waiter and he will organise your meals A copy of the menu has been photographed and this will be available for your consideration. Located near the Kebun Raya ( Botanical Gardens ) its ideal for the lunch time stop and then on to shopping or back to the park !

Soto Mie Agih is Chinese-style noodle soup with tripe, little pork ribs and has been established since decades
FYI: as a non-Indonesian, I wouldn't be able to differentiate what is authentic cuisine or not. That said however, it is very well-known among my Indonesian friends and we drop by the store every single time we do a quick overnight trip to Bogor. Personally, I love the flavors of the Soto in this particular shop. The saltiness and tanginess of the soup is just so well-blended that flavors just burst in every bite. Match it with a mango smoothie and it's pretty much an iconic Bogor lunch for me. This store is newly revamped, but it's still pretty much the typical open air warung in a ruko. I do find it to be much cleaner than it used to be.While the shop has redesigned its interior, i would not expect for people to consider it 'instagram-worthy'. That said, while you don't pay for ambiance, the taste of the meal is definitely worth it. I've been there a handful of times the past two years (as I said, every single time I go to Bogor), the consistency of their quality is pretty impressive. Whether or not you are an expert on Indonesian cuisine or it's your first local dish, I say that this place is definitely worth a visit.
