I would have loved to give this restaurant a good rating because the decor and layout are very nice and it felt like an experience visiting this place. The service was good. We ordered 2 soup of the day as starter and 2 meat dishes as main course along with a couple beers. Mine was the 'giant ribs'. At first my only issue was that it felt like plastic and was very hard to cut and nothing close to tender but when I started to cut I noticed some parts were still almost raw. My mistake was not to stop and complain but I was hungry and ate as much as possible without thinking what might happen. This led to a terrible night of sickness followed by a day in the hotel room. And seems like it will take another day or two to recover,

A really nice brown pub, with lots of dark paneling on the walls. Very cosy. We did not eat there, but I can imagine that the food is very good. They have a very large choice of (Belgian) beer. Futhermore all the 12 trappist beers. (There are 14 trappist in the world, but 2 of them are brewed outside the abbey, so they are not accepted as "real" trappist beer.)Service is very friendly. We were there about 16.00 hrs. When we left at 18.00 hrs the pub was nearly full. So next time I go to Ostend, I will pay them another visit.

On a very hot day, strolling through the city center, we needed a good, quick and nice food. La Siesta has it all: very fast service, very nice and friendly personnel, and the food tasted great. Try the taco dela casa, we loved it!

Early September and a Wednesday. In Ostend several restaurants are closed. This place is buzzing, mostly with locals and has an old world charm. As expected great beers and we has the special of hake on a bed of creamed potatoes, really excellent. 22 euros. We shared an excellent desert of ice cream and strawberries, huge! No reservations as its a Pub. Good choice as we found many places compared to France really expensive.

This restaurant serves without a doubt the best spaghetti you'll ever eat. And try a gin before dinner, they have quite a large selection of gins. The staff was very friendly, making this a perfect night out. Fun fact: across the street is the grave of James Ensor, next to a small church.
