Damme (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdɑmə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders, six kilometres northeast of Brugge (Bruges). The municipality comprises the city of Damme proper and the villages of Hoeke, Lapscheure, Moerkerke, Oostkerke, Sijsele, Vivenkapelle (nl), and Sint-Rita (nl). On 1 January 2006, the municipality had a population of 10,899. The total area is 89.52 km², giving a population density of 122 inhabitants per km².

The warmth of the welcome at Zet'Joe was an appropriate set-up to what turned out to be a delicious meal. We had the 3-course set menu (+cheese) which came with 3 separate amuse-bouches. Everything was perfectly cooked and there were some beautiful, innovative touches (the curried mussels were a particular highlight). My wife is allergic to shellfish (which I highlighted on the online booking form) and they were more than happy to flex the menu to fit her requirements. Service was impeccable throughout and the chef came round to introduce himself to all the guests. It wasn't cheap, but it was great value for money given the quality of food and experience.

This restaurant is managed by 2 sisters. One sister is serving the guests, the other one is the cook. They are well known for their delicious steaks (filet mignon, rump-steak, entrecote, etc). All in a very nice and cosy interior. The dishes are very well presented. Would really recommend this restaurant: fine dining & good service.

Celebrated my wife's 40th here whilst staying in Bruges for the weekend, it was recommended by Hotel Van Cleef (amazing hotel). We were not disappointed, the standard of cooking and presentation was very high and the waiters and sommelier were excellent. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu with a flight of wines and everything we tasted was "wow", the pigeon was particularly incredible. Two hungry travellers were very lucky to find this restaurant last Friday night. We were blown away by the lovely interior, the very friendly service and the most delicious food.Portions are quite big so bring an appetite. We would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Chose this restaurant based on previous TA reviews and what a great restaurant.Tasteful decor, friendly and helpful staff.Food sublime, filet of lamb ( nicely matured) cooked to perfection with rosemary jus.Wife had brill with noodles, samphire,hint of spice.Highly recommend this place.
