Beernem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbeːrnəm]) (West Flemish: Beirnem) is a rural municipality in the Belgian province of West Flanders, located southeast of Bruges. The municipality comprises the towns of Beernem proper, Oedelem and Sint-Joris. On January 1, 2006 Beernem had a total population of 14,642, mostly in Beernem proper and Oedelem. The total area is 71.68 km² which gives a population density of 204 inhabitants per km².

We went for the all-in formula and it's an okay deal. The drinks didn't strike me as of the highest quality, very very basic wine/champagne.The ready made meals didn't do it for me, but the fresh stuff was plentiful and good (fresh seafood and all kinds of meat), all though for me, the teppanyaki was prepared with way too much oil and they still managed to burn my scallops. The baked appetizers weren't that great either, some tasted a bit artificial. The fresh fish, especially the salmon was quite good and so were the cold shrimps and the salads.The desserts are plain bad. We tried the apple/frangipanni cake, the tiramisu (stay away from this one) was simply inedible and the chocolate mousse was runny and tasted of artificial chocolate. Go for ice-cream and the fresh fruit if you choose dessert.The sushi is quite good and the Irish Coffee at the end was very nice.On a more positive note, the staff is attentive and friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and nice and there's a good ambiance! The meal wasn't that awesome (if I go back I'll stick to the fresh stuff), but we had a great time there catching up with family.

Away from the popular tourist spots, but very worth the little walk towards the Katelijnepoort.The food tastes like you're actually in Thailand, delicious, fantastic oriental flavours, beautiful and healthy! The atmosphere is cosy and warm, the host is a real gentleman! I'll definitely be back!

ici on peut manger italien belge ou philippin autant dire que c est tout et n importe quoi l accueil est particulièrement sympa mais les assiettes sont trop brouillon je ne recommande qu en cas de grosse faim et surtout quand tout est fermé dans le village
