Visited during quiet lunch time. Service was welcoming and prompt. We've ordered main courses and were treated to a lovely crab/shrimp paste with bread. Great choice of beer and amazing food. We went for a children's crispy chicken, catch of the day -cod with veg and steak with great peppercorn sauce. All tasty and delicious. Highly recommended.

Very friendly welcome (and valet service). Staff is professional without stiffness. Somelier surely knows his job and is passionate about his wines (a list at reasonable prices). We went for the Primavera set menu and started with 4 appetizers of which the ceviche and the salmon could please us most. First starter is 'incontournable': the panko breaded shrimp croquette: perfection. The risotto with mustard, which came with the second starter: super. The second main course with chicken: cooked to perfection. We decided to add a nice cheese platter, chosen from the charriot with all Belgian products. We ended with a very good cassata. With the coffee came a variety of après desserts, many of which we couldn't eat anymore because 'to much'.Mr. Buyens cooks to perfection, the products are high end, the cooking times perfect, the tastes blend wonderfully. But we missed originality, surprises or rock 'n roll attitude. All dishes are perfect and honnest but colored inside the lines.

Really pleasant experience - restaurant is always nice - good staff and service, as per usual. My two colleagues behaved themselves in front of their âSuperiorâ and desisted with a long running joke - to that I say âthanks.â Yes, sheâs magnificent, and adore her, so good to quit it.I myself had a simple tuna croquette with chips - very nice indeed. They both had steaks, which they said were very fine indeed.Enjoyable lunch.

Amazing hot chocolate with lots of little accompaniments. We were very lucky to find this place as it is hidden away up a residential street and came upon it by chance. If you come down the slope from Hotel Donny, turn right and the café is on your left in about 30 yards.

Last W.E. we invite our family to have an anniversary meal, because 2 of our eldest daughters and ourselves with a mariage jubilee should celebrate together. Our 3 tiny granddaughters were the firsts served, and that was a very good point in service. So the mama's could feed them and for the rest of our meal they all were lucky and quiet, not disturbing other diners. Two of us choose codfish, one choose steak, and two other adults choose Côte à l'Os 3 sauces. All meat dishes are acompagned with excellent handmade belgian fries, and the 2 fish dishes and the 2 eldest granddaughters had potatoe puree. We have eaten it all, and took dessert at home. It's just a walk away from home. We paid 200 euros, and that is very fair. We return regulary and owners and staff are very good to the point. Even they knew in advance the childrens ages, and they had dressed the table with these elements of age. Sublime !

Looking fairly unprepossessing from the outside, this restaurant packs a knockout punch for its sheer theatricality. Opening the door, you find yourself looking down into a space something like a cross between the Titanic, an opium den, and the Tate Modern. And just when you start thinking this must be a case of style over substance, the food arrives - not without its share of drama, but certainly with no sacrifice of flavour. What's more, it's unpretentious - hard to pull off for a fairly expensive restaurant that delivers such a memorable experience. Veggie and vegan choices aplenty - and imaginative dishes, too - made it even more of a treat for us.Just one note: if your kids are fussy eaters, leave them at home.

Been here for brunch, been here a few years ago and now again but been to a lot of places where you can brunch and here is not the best place. For the amount of 65 euros??? In other places You pay from 57 euros upto 59 euros but get much more service and hospitality. You get only 1 glass of cava, the You get Your lobster very quickly. It's a half baby lobster and not every lobster has the same size. And then You can go to thu buffet where You have to wait in a very long line for several minutes to pick Your plate. The let everybody go to the buffet at the same time, so You get a very long waiting queue. It's like throwing 1 bowl of food to 10 hungry dogs: everybody throws himself at the buffet. In other places with such a brunch: the boss and staff come to a few tables to tell You You can go to the buffet. Not all the tables at the same time, this system resultst in normal waiting lines. So it's all in the arrangement and organisation. And they ask much more money than other places. For dessert we were waiting and waiting at our table because the queue was very very long but by the time the queue was a bit more normal some customers had been 3 times allready to the dessert buffet... No more this place for me, rather go to other places where You can sit more relaxed and really enjoy the food and service.

Restaurant tearoom Torentje is located on the marketsqure of Veurne it is an Belgian restaurant with an Asian touch. Apart from the a la carte menu we serve suggestions from the Chef and fresh weekly lunch.our opening hours are Tuesday till Saturday 11:30
After our visit last year we had to return to Torentje - and we were not disappointed. The recommended lunch menu included a delightful curry dish. When you have a chef with Indian heritage, brought up in Burma... you know that the Asian Fusion dishes are going to excel. But the food on itâs own is not enough. The welcome and atmosphere will leave you feeling loved and appreciated... once again, we will come back! Thank you soo much.

A delightful meal with exceptional starters and and excellent main. Attention to detail is high on the agenda at this lovely restaurant overlooking the town square. Helpful staff who made a couple of English visitors very much at home with a detailed explanation of the menu, perhaps this is why we thought the food so good as it was what we expected. Either way it was cooked to perfection and tases to to remember for all of the right reasons. Wine by the glass was very reasonable and the Pomerol fantastic.c value.Sadly no room for a dessert but if they are as half as good as the food we did eat we missed a treat.
