Marnic and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. Very cosy and comfortable in beautiful surroundings. Food is outstanding with a very good set menu and vast choice as well as al'a ' carte. Brilliant for romantic dinners and also family and party get togethers. Nothing is too much trouble and when you really want to relax you can stay over in very nice modern bedrooms and enjoy a super breakfast. Highly recommended .

We travelled to Zeebrugge on Monday the day of the French blockading the port of Calais, somewhat stressed in case we might have delays.Arriving at lunchtime we drove for 30 minutes trying to find somewhere to eat.Evidently they nearly all close on Mondays ! By pure chance we spotted the white tablecloths of Lagaar and parked in the large free car park opposite. The very friendly mine host asked would we mind waiting for a few minutes as they were very full of what appeared to be locals...always a good sign !After a short wait in the charming bar which is laid out like as railway carriage of the old days we were shown to our table in the window. We all decided to have the 20 euro menu which was absolutely delicious.I had shrimp rissoles followed by the best cod I have ever eaten, lovely wines and beers.Do try it I will be there every time I go to Zeebrugge.

You have to find the way to this little fish paradise ! But once you have been here, you always come back. It's a little and simple brasserie style restaurant, with outside terrace. But the fresh fish courses, and the fresh lobsters (choose yours and ask the "home" preparation, really unforgettable) are the best I did ever eat (and I live at the coastside since my childhood.....). It's like you eat at a fishers home, really... Thank you !

This is a relatively new restaurant on the Zeedijk at Zeebrugge. There are a couple of good restaurants in the area, but we only ate here and the food was fabulous. At first glance the menu looked expensive, but we later realized it was very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I had the cod and savoured every mouthful. The whole plate was delightfully composed. The bouillabaisse was magnificent. There is a delightful outdoor seating area on the beach if the weather is nice. Reservations are recommended, because this place is no secret, new as it is.

Nice atmosphere, welcoming service. Enough space between tables. Nicely balanced menu with great flavours. Good seasoning. Adapted wines well paired. Only negative; we asked wine pairing and did not take aperitif as i needed to drive still, but they did not bring any wine until first dish.... in other Michelin star restaurants they then served the 1st glass with the amuses.

Giving this restaurant an overall rating is a conundrum. Within the category of a brasserie it serves excellent food at an excellent price. No pomp and circumstance, no artistic presentation, no pizzaz - just delicious, well-prepared food. I had the rib-eye steak with the poivre sauce, frites and a fresh garden salad. All the servings were generous, the steak was perfectly cooked to order, the frites were classic Belgium frites served with mayo and the salad was a lovely mix of garden greens with a light dressing. The only minor shortcoming was the poivre sauce which, although very flavorful, was a bit too thin for my personal preference. This restaurant will please you whether you are age 8 or 80!

What can one say more than simply ...heaven ... What I particularly love about this kitchen is the simplicity and yet very great flavors that are present in your dishes. Simple and tasteful ingredients revisited by a great chef, with no fuss about it (unlike some others). Either menu you choose it'll always be a culinary feast. Bart Desmidt is also a chef who defends the quality of local products and certainly Northseafish. Add to that an almost perfect and impeccable service by the lady of the house, view on the sea, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices for a two stars Michelin restaurant, and you have the reasons why this is my favourite star ranked restaurant in Belgium.

Been back there twice this summer, and have not been disappointed. They have redone the interior, good taste - the spotlights above the tables are a bit too strong, maybe they can correct that. The food is excellent, fresh fish obviously, good croquettes crevettes. Honestly priced. White wine by the glass is excellent. But above all, the warm and efficient welcome and service/supervision of the service by the lady of the house makes it a place where very little can go wrong and where you can count on a good restaurant experience.

Small and trendy restaurant in the center of the city. Very light and cosy interiour with open kitchen. Chef Thierry serves a traditional but light French cuisine with Asian influences. Friendly and attentive service by his wife Véronique
Nice restaurant but small, friendly staff. The food is very tasteful, we took the menu and this was excellent. Only downpoint which in the end spoiled the meal was the waiting time for the dessert, this took between 45 min. and an hour, i was already planning to leave without dessert.

Located in the hart of Knokke-Heist, offers a panoramic vieuw on Place m'as tu vu and is famous for its T-Bone and meat fondue on friday's, as well as the roasted cod, grilled tuna and its calf sweetbread. Also takeaway possible
I was here with a group and the service was brilliant as was the food. Fresh flavoursome and varied menu. Staff very attentive and the ambience was good. It was not expensive but it was a classy menu......The portions are not huge but were enough for us but may not suit a teenager.....loved it.
