This is a small bar-restaurant run by Johan Vanderwalle and his wife and is a great stop-off after walking the length of Polygon Wood from the Australian 5th Division Memorial. The beer is cold and a pate salad lunch is great value and a real treat. Johan has also many relics of the First World War with a special emphasis on things Australian. And when you're there, give him a "gidday" for Aussie.

We passed this restaurant and just popped in for a beer and a snack. It was quite busy and we sat outside as it was a nice day.Lots on the menu but weighted towards burgers and kebabs etc.We had a burger each a beer, we would have had one of their meals but the size of them put us off.It was good though and the staff very friendly.

This wonderful restaurant, not too far from the Polygon Woods, was recommended to us by the host of our B&B. We sat outside on the large deck which can accommodate many. Food was delicious and portions were very big. Service was excellent. Special thanks to the waitress who spoke English

Sometimes you stumble upon a truly hidden gem. This is one of them. The restaurant is located in the woods of Zonnebeke, away from all the touristy-business that Ieper (Ypres) often brings. It has a small, but excellent menu card, a cosy atmosphere and above all, superb food and warm and welcoming staff.

A small bar/tavern right near Polygon Wood. The owner is extremely passionate about military history and has a fantastic collection of memorabilia. He was also responsible for identifying a number of recently found WW1 bodies, dug up when excavating for a pipeline, and as such has visited the families in Australia. He has a great story to tell. The food is quite good and service is excellent. Currently he (and a small group) is establishing a Brothers in Arms memorial, to remember family brothers killed in the war. The memorial is located opposite the restaurant

This eatery is located next door to the Passchendaele Museum, and so can be very popular with those concluding their visit to the museum around meal time. The menu includes traditional Belgian food as well as lots of there popular dishes. The cost is reasonable. On the day we visited the staff seemed to handle the stress of a "full house" for lunch without any issues.

Traditional Flemish restaurant with 200 beers, lunch and dinner, reservation is recommended, near to the Passendale Museum.
We ate here for lunch as part of the Superbreak tour of Flanders Fields and had a super lunch of Passendale cheese, ham, salad and bread, all fresh and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed by all on our table. The staff are efficient and friendly, the bar restaurant decor lovely and would recommend when visiting this area.
