We wanted to eat on our terrace and decided to have take away and chose the Plateau Royal: you get North Sea crab, lobster, grey shrimps, oysters, mussels, whelks, big pink shrimps, clams, crayfish, ... accompanied by nice cocktail sauce and mayonnaise. Just need some bread and a bottle of champagne to enjoy this fresh plateau.

Nice restaurant with very friendly owners and staff. The set menus are very reasonable: 35⬠for two appetizers (of which the fish soup was outstanding), a starter (I had two homemade delicious shrimp croquettes), a soup or sorbet , for mains I chose the Dover sole with fresh fries and homemade mayo, and desert. Nice wine list, mainly french, correctly priced.

Wanting to take pictures of the magnificent sunset on Ostendâs waterfront, we diverted from our usual route of turning right onto the promenade and turned left instead, towards the sun. We were looking for somewhere to eat and found this charming little restaurant called Othello. We were given some very tasty tapenade and fresh bread as a taster to begin with, as standard to have with our drinks. Then onto the starter. To say that the scallops I had were the most delicious and tender Iâve ever had would be an understatement. They were utterly superb. We then went onto mussels in white wine for me, and beef for my husband. The mussels were divine, and my husband reports that the meat was really tender and tasty.Dessert was Creme Brûlée for him and ice cream for me. Both absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It would be advisable to book ahead. We had not booked, and they did accommodate us, but it was full. An absolute gem of a find and we would come again. It is pricey, but we donât mind paying for quality. For drinks and three courses each the bill amounted to about â¬120.00.The service was good too and the owners very attentive. Given that the position of the restaurant is a little bit away from the main thoroughfare, it was full nevertheless, and worthy of walking just that little but further west to find it. There is a step up from the pavement, but if someone were being pushed in a wheelchair I think the wheelchair could be lifted up the step. One couple had a little dog with them who had its own seat. They allow well behaved dogs into restaurants in Belgium. Not sure if they all do, but Iâve noticed a number of them seem to allow it.

Well the restaurant name gives it away. I've never seen such a variety of different flavours for mussels! Not a huge selection of you're not into seafood, but then plenty of other options around if you aren't. Go for the South African 'Van Loveren' white,â¬31.00 but nice. Definitely recommend.

Given the location, it is mostly frequented by locals, who know a good thing when they see it. The food was amazing. Reasonably priced. Fresh. Made from scratch and to order. I went 3 times in 3 days. Had the crepes in the afternoon, and they were as good as they come. So the next day for lunch, my mom and I went back, I had the shrimp croquettes, my mom had a fish dish. Both Delicious. Therefore we went back for lunch the next day. (I have never been known to do that, am not a creature of habit). I had the cheese croquettes as a meal, and they were the best ever. Their hand cut fries are good too.Everything made to order, so don't expect to be out of there within 10 minutes, but it is so worth the wait. Very friendly service. Would definitely go back and recommend. It is only a walk or 2 bus stops from the train stain and center of town, so easy to get to.I grew up in Ostend, and have tried many restaurants, often good, but the quality, price and overall value at Lentini is hard to beat. Give it a try.

After having had some bad experiences on the seafront we decided to go inland for a meal this time and it definitely was a great decision. This place is mostly visited by locals and very busy, most tables are taken twice per night. We were served some homemade crisps and had a tasty cocktail maison to start off with. We had fish / meat as a main and the portions were of a normal size and very very tasty. The deserts were absolutely wonderful (and I am usually not a desert person). The staff was very friendly, the service fairly fast and the bill absolutely ok for what you get. We will most certainly go back there.

This romantic restaurant offers a good quality- price meal (fondue)! Even if it's not the cheapest restaurant in the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed! The portions are big and everything is fresh and perfect quality. We are always easy to be contac
Every few years, when we come back to Oostende, an evening out in the Eclips is on our favorite restaurants to revisit list.Last weekend we visited with 5 people, we all took the Irish filet pure fondue, and as usual over the years, the meat was of the highest quality, and the service by the owners impeccable ! A great wine and an Irish coffee prepared at the table made this again a perfect evening with a fantastic price/quality ratio !Can't wait to go back :-)

We visited this restaurant a few years ago it was amazing, we came back today it is under new ownership and I have to say it was the best food we have had in a long time (a very long time) the guy is great, he does everything but the food is amazing, 2 specials every 2 weeks, 1 meat, 1 fish, you must try try this place - fantastic!!! Properly cooked food by someone who knows what he is doing, perfect, a must try, ambiance - don't go there, no where better!!!

There is a reason for such good reviews and we experienced and enjoyed it first hand during our dinner. We (2 adults, 2 kids and golden Labrador) had dinner last week and it was absolutely amazing. Whilst adults had steak to share for mains, kids were on BBQ ribs and they havenât stopped talking about it since. The Prawns and steak starters were amazing.Ambience and service was second to none, met the chef as well and always felt the warmth of a family run restaurant. Our dog Mia also left with a meat treat in the end. All in all, 6 stars if we can, for an amazing anniversary evening. thank you very much
