Straw Hat Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven-days-a-week, at our beautiful beachfront location on Meads Bay Anguilla. Straw Hat is open annually from November through August and is closed in September and October. Beach chairs are available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis for our breakfast and lunch guests. Reservations are strongly suggested for dinner and are helpful in securing our very best, beachfront tables.

Straw Hat is also a very popular destination for special events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday celebrations and corporate functions. Please contact us for more information.

We look forward to seeing you soon in Anguilla!

Sunny regards!
We have been to Straw Hat several times. In recent years we have limited this to late breakfasts since we had a few less than good dinners. We decided to give dinner another try this year. We were again disappointed. The food was not good. Frankly it was quite bland and the best way to describe it is, resort food. The entrees lacked seasoning and were over cooked. There was a potato concoction that had absolutely no flavor and resembled something that would come out of a instant mashed potato box. Service was not good. We needed to remind the waitress we had ordered wine, which did not come until after our dinner had arrived. And dinner arrived before the appetizers or our "pre-dinner" drinks were done. We served ourselves wine during the meal (which I generally don't mind), but there was no one paying attention that the bottle was emptying...then empty, before dinner was complete (despite being turned upside down in the ice bucket). So a second bottle was not ordered. The only thing going for the restaurant was the ocean front location. With all of the great restaurants on the island, we'll not be coming to SH again for many years.

This place is fantastic. Can't beat the location- right on the water. Great ambience, had excellent service on both our visits
Tried tuna and snapper tartar which were excellent. Had multiple fish dishes for main course - fresh tuna and whole spicy snapper were a 10 out of 10
Force yourself to have desert - the creme brûlée and coconut cheesecake are superstars
Loved it !!!!

We dined at Veya the other night, despite previous visits being disappointing. This trip's visit was incredible and met my expectations. I had the surf and turf, my wife the butter poached lobster, and our friends the duck and snapper. All our meals were delicious. My steak melted in my mouth and the lobster was cooked to perfection. My wife broke down and had the chocolate cake for dessert, which she loved. Even the service was better and much friendlier. I have always found it to be a little too snooty but not this time.
The one negative I have to say and I am only hoping the manager reads it and rethinks ... We ordered a few extra things I wouldn't normally because I expected to get a discount with our Anguilla card. Other places we have gone and used the card take the 10% off the price on our bill and then we split the cost by putting in two credit cards 50-50. Has not been an issue. I actually mentioned this to our waiter and he said no problem. When the bill came I was informed to use the Anguilla card, I would have to show photo id (a little over the top since my face is on the card) and we couldn't use two credit cards to split the cost. I didn't understand why and still don't when I discussed it at another restaurant. They like me, were shaking our heads.
But despite that one flaw we had an excellent dinner and I have changed my opinion of this place.

Picante is a hot, really spicy Mexican restaurant, friendly service await you, tasty menus with picante (chili) sauces, also excellent fresh seafood; a nice place to spent a good evening in a great ambiance.

Visiting this lovely restaurant for lunch and dinner on different days this month, my wife and I would never have guessed Hurricane Irma paid a destructive visit to Anguilla this past September. Trattoria Tramonto’s design and decor, enhanced with new super-strong walls and roof, are stylish and inviting, the service friendly and professional, the Italian/Caribbean cuisine delicious, and the tranquil, blue-water/white-sand-beach setting alluring. Alan and Chantal have done a wonderful job making the Trattoria Tramonto an even more welcoming, charming place than before. More generally, we want would-be travelers from the U.S. and elsewhere to know that the power grid in Anguilla has been fully restored, 4G cell service is available islandwide, numerous cottages (“villas”) and small hotels have resumed serving guests, many restaurants have reopened, and it’s again a great time to visit.

had the lobster spring rolls and the special fish (coconut grouper). Outstanding! surprising the presentation and the food were more like fine dining that i would expect at a local place. This is not your typical grilled fish/peas and rice/cole slaw/mac n cheese island restaurant. loved it!

We had the nachos, which were huge and very tasty. Can watch US sports on the TVs too, which was a bonus!

What an excellent meal. We stopped in for dinner and we were pleased with the food. We both had the special of the day which was pan seared snapper with a lemongrass sauce on it. Also served with it were mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The fish was moist and the sauce was light and flavorful. The potatoes and other vegetables were hot and very good. They serve Johnny cakes before the meal and they are a local item that is very good. The service was good and we will be back.

Relatively new; gorgeous small beach front restaurant; great food and wine. Chef was previously at mallihouna.
Ok we are only half way through this trip but I have to say and no doubt my wife agrees YOU CAN NOT come here and not eat at this restaurant. Jacques was a great host and his food was knocked out from the lobster soup, the tuna tartar, to the lobster special and last but definitely not least the grilled crayfish. The staff was right on top of things and very polite. How anyone could give this place a less than 5 star is people that would never be satisfied.
The amazing thing is its already again top notch and they have only been open a week today after the destruction.
THANK YOU Jacques for your hospitality and your wonderful food, and staff may your restaurant last a very longtime for people to enjoy.
On another note when a lot of us read these we think " they no somebody there" It was our first time and knew no one just like good food and this place was it.
Enjoy and Bon Apetite.

Sandbar is located on the beach in Sandy Ground, one of the most charming fishing villages in the Caribbean and the "sea and sand" theme of the bar envelopes you as you enter. Lots of natural light, unobstructed views of Road Bay with its myriad boats at anchor - coupled with an abundance of trade breezes make this a cool and comfortable spot to enjoy drinks, & dinner. Dining and Seating is available inside and also outside on a Terrace perfect for watching the day & sun go down. Serving tasty tapas & cool cocktails Monday to Saturday.
We love everything about Sandbar. The owners and staff are always so gracious and welcoming. But the food is what keeps us coming back. That and a very reasonable priced wine list which is much appreciated! Everything is good, which is what I love about this place. Order anything and you will love it.
