I'm a regular at Goda Grannar, (which means "Good neighbours" in English), and there are many reasons why I keep going there with my family. If you don't like fish or seafood then this is not the place for you. This is an authentic, Swedish food restaurant where the fish is fresh and the chef knows what he's doing. There are a variety of options, they serve à la carte and lunch. They have great cocktails and a good selection of wine. Ask the waiter for recommendations! Please note that it's a small restaurant and often fully booked on weekends so it's best to book online or call. The prices are on the higher end but the food is worth the money! The service is the icing on the cake. There is usually only one waiter who remembers the regulars and takes great care of them and new guests feel right at home. He knows the food and is always extremely helpful. I have severe allergies and I have never had an allergic reaction there because the chef and other staff always check and make sure that the food is safe for me to eat. The desserts change through the year but are always fantastic! So if you enjoy fish or seafood then make sure to visit this restaurant when you're in Gothenburg.

Went here with my wife, two of our kids and our parents-in-law. The location is stunning right by the water but the service is a bit too casual given the type of restaurant and the food quite disappointing. Pasta from Alsace - never heard of it before and it is a disgrace to the city of Gothenburg not to use hand-peeled fresh shrimps. In addition the mussles were quite tasteless and the crayfish hadn't been cleaned properly. This restaurant is a bleak copy of what Westra Piren in the same location used to be.

This place has been serving up great seafood since the early 70âs. The room and atmosphere is as great as the service and as fresh as the fish! A definite must do in Gothenburg! We had such an enjoyable lunch and I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone! As soon as you enter the room itâs easy to tell why this establishment has stood the test of time. I canât wait to revisit here! The Saturday seafood buffet was awesome!

The fish soup we had just before closing was really salty, Iâm thinking bc it was simmering all day? They offered replacement dish. At lunch - very good smoked fish starter, decent langostinos. Service was fine.

This restaurant has great food and table service much like youâd experience in the United States. We both had the three course Menu 1. It came with fresh baked bread and butter, a fish and seafood soup with garlic toast, lemon sole with potatoes and asparagus, and a lemon strawberry dessert with caramel. Each course was delicious, beautifully plated and satisfying to the palate.

Hands down, the best fish restaurant in Göteborg. I have been there many times with different people and everyone was always satisfied. The place is quite small but really cozy. And you will have the chance to eat right above the fish market! Amazing!

By coincidence happened to have dinner here, but unfortunately not the omakase menu. Haven't had better sushi anywhere in Europe or California/Florida (haven't been to Japan). Fish as delicate and fresh as possible, seasoned perfectly and delicately. Forthcoming and professional service. Intimate seating. Will come back for the omakase.

My meal was excellent. The chef came out and asked me how my food was as I ordered vegetarian. No vegetarian on the menu but no problem putting it together. It's not a fancy place but it's in a nice location. Boats, and coastline is nice.

Not only a top restaurant serving delicious seafood and the best of Nordic cooking. Långedrag Värdshus is also the perfect venue for weddings, conferences and summer parties with our amazing ocean view and top notch service. Only 10 minutes from Gothenbur
My family was at the restuarant last Sunday for lunch. I wanted to order fish and chips, but was denied by the waitress. She claimed I was too old for the dish, which originally was on the Childrens menu. I asked whether they could serve it anyhow (Another price might have applied), but she rejected and said the kitchen could not do it. Very disappointed I did not order any food, but found the restuarant very inflexible for a dish they could serve.

Great fish, helpful friendly staff. Nicely decorated restaurant. Lovely fresh complimentary bread, veg tasty butter and the main was simply delicious! Well presented food and great atmosphere. It is on the expensive side though but well worth it!
