Discover Restaurants offering the best European food in Marstrand, West Coast, Sweden. Marstrand is a seaside locality situated in Kungälv Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 1,319 inhabitants in 2010. The town got its name from its location on the island Marstrandsön. Marstrand is, despite its small population, for historical reasons often still referred to as a city (today however, Statistics Sweden, only counts localities with more than 10,000 inhabitants as cities). Recently the town has expanded to the neighbouring island Koön, which has bridge access to the mainland.

We were a bit suspicious to begin with, because the place was deserted in comparisons to the other restaurants on the pier, plus I hadn't read much on TripAdvisor. But the service was friendly and quick, the food was fresh and excellent (the shrimp sandwich was huge!!!) and, because we're talking about Marstrand, the prices were on the lower side. What a pleasant surprise! Would recommend!
We had the most tasty four course dinner here and highly recommed this place!
the stores are scattered all around Guteborg area
Ambitions are there but this pastry spreads a little in different directions.A little to be regarded as a chain that suffers from a lack of vision. The coffee is approved, the staff courteous, the decor a little whimsical.Competition in the segment is rock hard
Kiosk by the water with friendly staff open all night. They sell raw and cooked fresh fish and seafood. The very good fish and chips has generous portions for a reasonable price. Excellent quality boiled shrimps, crab and crayfish. Expect long waiting lines as the place is popular. No seats available (its a kiosk not a restaurant) but you can sit by the water at the marina 20 meters away.

We were happy to find a restaurant open since our late arrival in the harbour of Marstrandsson. We had four different pizzas, and would especially recommend the New Orleans and Seafood/Shrimp pizza. The Parmasan pizza which the waiter recommended was however a bit boring. There were several outdoor seatings with heat lamps in atmospheric environment in the backyard.

This restaurant had a nice menu, not as overpriced as the restaurants on the opposite side of the water, and with fresh local seafood. I had the mussels and they were delicious! My friend had the shrimp sandwich, it was good but could have been a bit bigger. The staff is friendly and was great with the kids, the kids menu was good with enough food to feed a hungry nine-year old. It was a relaxed atmosphere with possibilities to sit both outside and inside. Having a meal at a restaurant with four children can be challenging, but since there was a lot to see from our outside table, child-fiendly staff and good food, we had a very nice dinner. Thanks!

The restaurant is open may to beginning of september. It is a seasonal business. We are proud to serve our legendary Maggans Fishsoup.
On our törn with our sailyacht we resches Marstrand. Amongst many restaurants at the kay 'Arnell par kaien' sticks out: Small, authentic and with a very gemütlich ambiente. The fishsoup was excepionen, as were the other main courses. Especially the very warm and personel service by The Sommelier Anders Arnell and his daughter made is feel like home. Especially wehen he explaniert the Receiver of his mother :-)Definetly a place to be!!!

Swedish flavors dominate the menus at Ottos Kök. It will come as no surprise that fish and seafood is on the menu but there is something for all tastes. We would be delighted if you took a moment to look at the dishes we serve when you sit down to dine. W
The restaurant has sea view (plus view on the island Marstrand) from all tables. Great location. The food quality is good but could be even better for the price. You sense a bit the monopoly position of the restaurant. There are not many restaurant alternatives. Food focus: Swedish fish

We had a really good meal and were delighted by the standard of the food, the professional staff and really good drinks. Try the whisky sour for a palate cleanser! A truly high quality fine dining restaurants, with the best quality stamp, that you could see lots of locals there.

This restaurant is centrally located, and the atmosphere and decor is different but very good. We booked a table, just as well because it was packed. And the service and the quality of the food are the key to its success. We enjoyed a superb evening, and will definitely visit again.
