Location wise, facility wise very bad place. Behaviour of the owner as well as his wife too bad, non-cooperative. There was not a single employee, only the owner and his wife and they are always trying to find out a single loophole of their guest. I am surprised to note that whether they are really running a homestay or they are trying to penalize their guest. And scarcity of water in today's darjeeling. Where other hotels and guesthouses have 24 hours water supply, they don't have. At night they intentionally switched off the power supply and on asking the owner replied that "why you people are disturbing us ?" Can anyone even think about it ? That a paid homestay owner asking his guest that they are disturbing them. Nothing is good there. The day of our leaving the place, there was not a single drop of water was available, not for toilet use. Very very bad experience.. If there would have been a negative review point, i would have surely give that. I recommend don't spoil your holiday in staying at Mount Olive Homestay.

Take a break & visit Bon Polashi EcoHut at Muruguma, Purulia. It offers excellent staying option to explore a serene destination where nature is at its best.
Good ambience among nature. Cordial staff. Excellent place for outing. Good homely food. Muruguma Dam is nearby. Enough place for Car Parking. Both Cottage and Tent available with modern amenities. Customer delighted.

Chilapata Jungle Camp cottages are nice and has well maintained garden. We did fishing in their pond and could catch a few fishes. Safari in the early morning was nice and jungle is full of greeneries, though didn't find any wildlife.

We had visited this place 10years ago and revisited this year, but the experience is different .Now this place becomes noisy, clamsy and more artificial than before. The view to Mt. Kanchenzunga is obscured due to trees in between.Outing for 2days is OK but those who looking for natural beauty and peace, not siutable for them.Food quality is excellent as it was 10years back.

We visited Red Panda Eco Hut for 3 nights and 4 days last week at the recommendation of a close relative. We were extremely pleased with the overall setup of the homestay along with the food and services offered by the inhouse manager/caretaker of the property. The owner Mr Debashis is an extremely knowledgeable, supportive and considerate person and his guidance has helped us extremely during our trip. This place is situated within the Neora Valley Reserve Forest and is an ideal gateway for bird watchers, trekkers and adventurists. I selected this place as an ideal location for digital detox and to be close to nature for me and my parents. The wood paneled rooms of the homestay are moderately furnished with basic amenities but sufficient for tourists visiting the place. Though initially I was a little apprehensive going through some of the Google reviews for this place, but I am happy to say that my experience has been completely different compared to some of the reviews documented. To avoid any confusion or complication, I would urge prospective boarders to call Mr Debashis directly for your booking requirements and make good use of the property for the intended purpose.

Property area is 10 Acre. there are toral 6 Bamboo Cottages with attached bathroom and 6 big size Ponds full with Fishes. 5 Cottage having 2 big size Double beds in each and 1 Bamboo cottages has a family Bed of 3. maximum Accommodation capacity of 23 people. It's build with the idea of Ethnic Village Hut.
I had been there during 26th Dec to 29th Dec'21 and I had booked all the 6 cottages, I went their with my family, close friends and their family as well. I includes Sr citizen like my parents& parents in law who are in the age bracket from 76-86. Reaching the place is quiet time consuming. We started from Calcutta at 8.30 am and took a one break for breakfast. Road till Taki isgood but don't expect like NH, After taking to Hingalgunge Jetty, road is not so good but u can travel with less comfort due to road condition. You need to take a ferry to cross the river Matla which I slaps time consuming as you have a dependency on Ferry timing and you can take 1 hr in hand for 15 minutes travel. Reaching to the Resort after the Hingalgunge ferry ghat is also a more or less good road. But to approach to the resort, road is bit thin for one car to travel. Resort boys will help you here. Resort is not bad, food is fantastic and quality and quantity is awesome. Rooms are made of clay and bamboo, you will get a new experience, listen you are staying in a Gramer Bari so don't expect 5 star amenities. But its good to stay, bathroom is quite good and big. Always u have hot water. Inside the resort, you will get ponds for catching fish, lot of flowers as its a winter season. Atmosphere is perfect. But the roads inside the resort needs some touch up as there are bricks only nd for Sr Citizen its a tough Behaviour and the service of the people like Abhra, owner Partha are superb. Apart from these the rest of the associates are also friendly and helpful. We took 2 drivers and there was accommodation for them. If you want boating, u can duo in any of the ponds. At the end its worth for money and we all enjoyed. Its a quite place with lots of birds singing and you are part of the nature. If you delete the road condition, all well. we took safaris for two days and they arranged.
