The Vintage Pearl Restaurant and Wine Cellar is located at the heart of West Bay Beach just steps from the turquoise sea of the Caribbean, on Roatan Island in the Bay of Honduras. Nestled in amidst the sea grape trees and white sand, you will find an intimate and romantic dining refuge at the Vintage Pearl. The wine cellar at the Vintage Pearl boasts of the largest wine collection on Roatan Island featuring selections from around the world. The chefs have more than twenty years of cooking experience in the Caribbean and offer a menu that changes daily as they prepare such delicacies as filet mignon, veal, duck, fresh fish, shrimp and lobster, creating a true pleasure to your palate.
We went here for dinner and very much enjoyed it. More expensive than most but the service was excellent. Recommend getting the beef as it was significantly better than the fish. Argentinian Grill is equally as good and less expensive but the service is island time slow whereas Pearl service was fantastic. Enjoy.

I'm from New York and have an inflated assessment of my Sandwich connoisseurship -- this place has excellent sandwiches! I would be only too happy to order a Sandwich at a NY deli and get what they serve here. Also, they sell diet Coke, which is another thing that makes them awesome.

History JavaVine was purchased as a turn-key business on April 4th 2011, when it had previously been operating for 4 years as the Cool Beans Coffee House. The new owners, Wyonna & Quentin (with their now infamous schnauzer Jasper, who can be seen almost daily swimming in the ocean along West Bay Beach), finished a 3 1/2 week renovation in February 2012, and re-opened with a brand new look, an expanded menu, and extended hours to include a cool new Wine Bar & Lounge with light Tapas, in a chill, relaxed environment with soothing tunes. It was at that time the coffee shop became known as JavaVine Cafe & Wine Bar!
Stopped in here for an afternoon coffee and I’ll surely be back again this trip. The iced latte with soy milk was very good and the Java Lala was awesome (coffee-infused version of the alcoholic Monkey Lala). There seemed to be great pastry/food items as well but I wasn’t hungry. The staff here were friendly. If you’re vegan / dairy free they have non dairy options!

Carribean style food, succulent basil butter lobster specialties, Rated # 1Key lime pie, Natural tropical drinks, Dining with parrots, True Carribean athmosphere...
We ate there with another couple for dinner and it was the best meal we had in West Bay. Both couples had fish which was very fresh and well prepared. We met the owner who was very interesting and a true animal lover. Unlike many small towns in the Islands West Bay does not have a stray cat and dog problem. I think the owner and others in the community have basically rounded up the stray dogs and cats had them neutered and then found them a home. A truly remarkable feat in this small town.
We very much enjoyed our evening. Did not give food a 5 because it was good just not great.

This is the heart of the resort where guests gather to enjoy a meal, talk about their day of adventures, and join in the various activities available. The perfect spot to quench your thirst with a tropical drink or a fresh fruit smoothie and watch the beautiful Roatan sunsets. Start your evening right with a 2 for 1 drink from 4pm – 6pm. Try an appetizer like calamari, chicken wings, or nachos. Enjoy one of our signature dinner plates such as coconut shrimp, lobster with tropical sauce, or a whole fried fish. The Thirsty Turtle is truly the focal point of West Bay beach and offers fun games, live music, karaoke, fire dancers, crab races and other activities throughout the week. There is something for everyone at Bananarama!
This is a great restaurant on a great beach! Service can be slow when they’re busy. I mean busy! It’s a great beach bar vibe with live music, great drinks and drink specials. Fun stuff usually every night. Fire dancing, crab races, karaoke, music trivia, movie night on the beach, and more! The food overall is good! We ate several meals here. Breakfast was included with our room, nut there were 3 dishes to pick from. Usually a great fruit plate and then the others would rotate. Omelettes, baleadas, oatmeal, eggs, French toast. Their specialty is not breakfast. It was enough to get us to lunch. We’re early risers, so coffee and a protein shake from home helps. We stopped at the little market and got some milk for our daily protein drink and that helped supplement breakfast. If you are a coffee drinker, bring or stop and get coffee. Bring a travel mug too. We had 2 cups in the room some days, and none the others. Trying to find coffee before 8am can be a challenge too. If you are standing and looking at the bar with the beach to your right and check in on your left, between the bar and the pizza restaurant is the entry to the kitchen. If you’re early, sometimes you can find a pot of coffee on the counter just outside the kitchen door...just a little tip. Lunches were good. Wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, all tasty and fresh! They have a smoker on site and offered ribs, etc some nights and they were well prepared! The coconut shrimp I had one evening were a little overdone. We tried the chicken wings in bbq sauce and they were good. Onion rings were delicious! Our friends loved the curry shrimp and The pizza restaurant next door is The Bomb! Calzones, pizzas both delicious and a great value! Definitely worth a visit! At least grab a beer and delicious smoothie and enjoy the sunset! Thanks everyone who made our trip! Javier, Edison, Alexis.....you’re awesome!

In your restaurant travel article and mentioned in several forum posts
We returned 3 years later and the food is still some of the best on the island. The half chicken with sides was delicious. Save room for dessert or take it to go. Their sides are really unique and all homemade. Best value deal in West End.

This is a local place right on the main road in West End. With the most amazing chicken cooked right on the premises which is our special. Feel free to visit us and taste it yourself.
The chicken is the best I have eaten on the island. The owner is kind and the staff is fast and efficient.

After 4:00pm we change things up and become the place to go for pizza and sub sandwiches, Roast Beef, Pastrami, Ham, Turkey, with Swiss, Provolone, Pepper Jack ingredients just to name some of the items we serve. On the pizzas, we have everyone's favorites, Pepperoni, Hot Italian Sausage, Sausage crumbles, Ham, anchovies, and more veggies than I can remember. Try the Veggie special pizza, We also have a full bar and the beer is kept in a deep freezer for what I can truly call the "coldest beer in town" Please stop in and sample our casual atmosphere and friendly staff, thanks Joe
