Al-Riad was inspired by our Moroccan and Spanish travels, this historical Palestinian home in Ramallah Ta7ta has been transformed into the Al-Riad Tapas Lounge (Garden) we could imagine. We believe this premier destination in the heart of Ramallah will be
The setting is of an old renovated house that was turned into a restaurant, but the main attraction is the garden where you can have nice tapas style food al fresco. This is a place for meeting friends and sharing a meal. The food is very decent and ranges from Greek to Mexican to Spanish all served in a tapas format meant to be shared. The sliders are a must, as are the churros. They also have very interesting wraps and salads. Only comment is that when it is full, service tends to be a bit slow.

This is a very good restaurant in interesting location and nice interior. It feels like you are entering a cave or cavern with the stone walls and cathedral like ceilings. The menu is mainly Mexican oriented but there are a nice selection of salads and some other main courses not Mexican. But you have choices of burrito, taco, etc that are for the Mexican taste. I ordered the Baja Burrito. It was split into two soft taco shells with plenty of chicken pieces, guacamole, sour cream and tangy taste. It came with a nice portion of rice with a few beans on top. Overall, this was a very nice large lunch portion and very filling. It was really very tasty and would make me want to try other Mexican items on the menu. I had a nice large lemonade to go with my meal as well.
