I am writing with regard to my most recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wayne, NJ. My boyfriend and I stay at this hotel frequently when he travels and we have always been happy with the property until recently. On our latest visit (Sunday, May 15, 2022) we used the hot tub to unwind. We noted that it did seem a little “murky” but didn’t think too much about it. After we got back to our room, we noted that our swimsuits smelled rather foul. Several days later (Tuesday), I developed a rash on the trunk of my body along with a painful red spot on my breast. Then I developed a pain in my armpit. At this point, I decided to see a doctor and was diagnosed with “hot tub folliculitis”. I am now on a strong antibiotic and antibacterial cream for this disgusting bacterial infection/rash. I am beyond disappointed in the Hilton Garden Inn and this apparent lack of cleanliness. I would like to see this rectified. It is enough to make us stay elsewhere in the future.

Be prepared for New Jersey roads this hotel can be difficult to find, I called the hotel and Josh was super helpful with directions. Everyone else I spoke to on staff was super helpful. The rooms are extremely spacious from the norm and very clean. They are only cleaning rooms by request which was perfect for my stay, special thanks to Val for cleaning my room on a last minute request. Will stay again!!

We stayed in the Days Inn for one night due to attending a funeral. The price was fair for what others were charging. The room was nice and clean. Unfortunately due to covid they did not serve any breakfast at all which was a bummer. If they were not going to serve breakfast at all maybe the hotel could have gave their customers a voucher to eat somewhere that is nearby otherwise everything was fine.

Stay away! For mainly two reasons I am warning people to not stay here. First, the pool is disgusting. You can't see the bottom and there were lots of things in it. Second, we stayed in room 117 and little did we know we were next to a 24 hour gym that had people in it until 1am and it sounded like people were running on a treadmill and throwing down weights in our bed. When we complained the front desk simple said "it's a 24 hour gym". And my question is not why do you have a gym but how do you decide who gets a terrible nights sleep? No sympathy or offer of anything was given. For this reason I will never stay again. The next day when checking out no one asked how our stay was. The free breakfast is sub-par and our room was run down. It was decently clean and roomy if I had to give it a positive.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. First of all the Front Desk Associate checked us into an occupied room! Luckily, the occupants weren’t in there when my hubby opened the door. So…our second room we were checked into seemed to be still dirty. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, The bed looked made up. So, we went back down to get a different room. When we got back from dinner, around 9:30pm, we could hear our neighbors having a little party in the room next to us,the music was super loud. So, we called the front desk a couple of times, they said there is no security. So my husband called the police, it was a little quieter after they left. When we checked out, we asked to speak to the manager. Apparently, he is never on property. We decided never to stay there again!

I would like to start by stating that I was one of the first few customers to stay in the new Quality Inn, which was formerly the Ramada by Wyndham. When I checked in, my room was dirty. Dust and hair all over the surfaces, hair in the toilet, unclean bathroom, and stunk like mold and stale cigarettes. I went to the front desk, and the desk attendant was extremely apologetic and issued me a new upgraded room right away. I just thought, "sh*t happens, right?" Upon first glance my new room was clean enough, it still smelled like mold and cigarettes but... it's not a 5 star hotel or anything, what are you going to do? After stepping out of the shower, I come to find that all of my towels have dead bugs and someone else's hair in them. I brought the towels down to the front desk, where it's now the manager and the same desk attendant as earlier. The manager was on the phon, the desk attendant was quick to cut me off and ensure me that these towels had to have been clean since they just reopened the previous day. He refused to even look at the towels I brought down, and started trying to hand me new towels and send me away. I insisted a discount be issued for obvious reasons, and they manager refused to get off the phone and kept saying "she's already been upgraded" while walking away from me into the back. Upon reviewing my receipt they took a whopping $11 off of my bill. If all the available hotel rooms within 45 minutes of the airport weren't 100% booked, I would have left and requested a full refund. Absolutely DO NOT stay here, especially if you have children.
