Going away hungry is not an option at this restaurant. The food is fabulous...comfort food that "hits the spot" every time! The servings are huge and people are always taking home leftovers. Nightly specials are posted outside of the restaurant...they may be closed on Mondays. We have dined here for many years and have never been disappointed. The wait staff caters to the guests with smiles and helpful attitudes. You are never rushed to make way for others...great place to eat and visit with friends and family!

Flip Cafe is our favorite foods made with love for you. It is a 60 seat cafe that employs a group of hard working, food loving, people pleasing individuals. We do our best to serve great fresh scratch food the best way we know how. :)
The cafe recently started having evening meals. They have created unique meals & prepared very well! Scallops over risotto- wonderful! Other entrees: beef tips, gaspacho & garlic mussels, bangers & mash,Tikka marsala chicken. Wished I could have eaten them all. Menu changes each week. Can't wait til next week! Go eat here-you won't be disappointed!

Oh my, if you are doughnut lover you will be in your glory here. It is fascinating to watch the production line, which is clearly visible behind glass. Often you are given a complimentary doughnut right off the line. The coffee is very good here; not the usual mediocre coffee so often served in restaurants. This is a dangerous place - to the waistline, that is.

We are a small town Tavern serving cold adult beverages and the best pizza, wings, subs, and burgers around.
Great place! Clean, smoke free, nice tavern and restaurant! Friendly and fun... what a change from years gone by! Great food!

We ordered a hoagie and a calzone. Both were delivered still warm and delicious. I reheated the calzone a day later and it was still fresh and tasty. This was a perfect lunch option while at an indoor track meet!

There's always something special about wandering into a local small town restaurant and being instantly warmed. Here last night for an early dinner. Several other patrons were already seated, and the flow of customers never stopped. Lots of smiles and friendly waves back and forth to staff made it clear that this place is a regular stop for the community. It's a smallish space with modest décor. The menu is Italian with the regional taste of Sicily, from which the owner family is descended. Dinner starts with a small loaf of warm, crusty bread and a salad. I ordered the house made Italian dressing, semi creamy and flavorful. The pasta fagioli was made with two types of beans. My entrée was a smaller, but perfectly adequate, portion of spaghetti with butter and garlic-a combination not frequently available. I saw some very good looking pizzas and calzones being served to nearby table.Service was very pleasant with lots of genuine smiles, despite a full house. Dessert was take-home strawberry rhubarb pie. Carini (the name of the owners' city of origin in Sicily} is a short drive from Presque Isle Downs and Casino. It may be the best bet of you day.

At Lucky Louie's Beer & Wieners we have 32 different weenies and nearly 300 different bottled beers. We operate in a tiny space across from Presque Isle Downs and Casino, so hopefully you aren't claustrophobic! For those freaked out by lack of space, we have an outdoor patio, unfortunately we are unable to predict/control Dreary Erie's weather! Children are welcome! We even make a kids hotdog that is cut into the shape of an octopus and sits on a bed of potato chips with whatever toppings the little buggers want! Parents note: kids are cool as long as they are looked after and gone by 9pm. Any unsupervised children will be given a Red Bull and a puppy. The beer isn't cheap, I hate to admit. We have a place called the Beverage Shop next door that sells all of the same beer we have, but in cases. It would be unethical to undercut our neighbors. We don't believe in the Walmart business model! If you are in the mood for for something off-the-wall, come see us. We will happily make your day just a little bit weirder!
Who would believe you can make a dining experience out of hot dogs. Had the dof called booty call which came with pulled pork, cole slaw, BBQ Sauce, Mayo and pickles. the other dog came with cheese, chili, and salt and vinegar chips crushed. Oodles...MoreThank you so much!

My hubby and I have not been here for probably a decade, and it has changed a lot since we were here last. It used to be an affordable restaurant that served really good food that was different from bar food and your normal chain restaurant. For example, I've had mussels cooked in wine sauce here before.
Now the restaurant area is smaller and the bar area is bigger. More of a bar food menu...lots of burgers and they had a wing special the day we were there. So here we are in the middle of nowhere and we're hungry. So we decided to stay, and I'm very glad we did.
I had there chicken cordon bleu soup and their pot roast sandwhich. Both were awesome. The soup is a cream base with TONS of chicken, ham, and potatoes. The pot roast sandwhich is very tender shaved beef, with grilled onion, cheddar cheese and horseradish sauce on a brioche bun. My hubby had the patty melt which came on marbled rye and said it was very good.
The food was great for bar food and the server was very pleasant and attentive. It doesn't get 5 stars b/c an old hotel should have way more atmosphere. It's basically a bar that has 2 sm dining rooms.

If your looking for something different, clean, wholesome homemade food in a friendly atmosphere this will be your next stop. There are specials run everyday of the week! With large portions for a small cost it is very family friendly.there is only one bad dish on the menu,-spaghetti, so just choose anything else and it will become your favorite stop when in Waterford!

We stumbled on Maggie's on New Year's Eve because the Sugar & Spice was closed, and the Waterford Hotel too smoky and noisy for our taste. What a pleasant surprise! This is exceptionally good Chinese food--everything was fresh, not at all greasy, and very tasty. The service is friendly and attentive, and the dining room is bright and festive with the charm of an old-fahioned small-town Chinese restaurant. We were so happy to discover Maggie's China Inn! Our new favorite since the China Garden on Peach Street is no more.
