I have read many reviews, and been recommended this establishment by many friends.
DiMario's did not disappoint.
Being that it would be considered fine dining, I am a little more critical than I would be a mid class restaurant.
Our server Destiny was a great face for the restaurant. Happy, Helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. She is an asset to the staff.
For those of you who read more than one of my reviews, you will notice we normally order dinner for three when there is only two of us, gives us a better chance to sample the menu. Tonight was no different.
Apps...
Caesar Salad ... Crisp, fresh great garlic flavour.
Grilled figs...Citrus, honey mascarpone stuffed figs, wrapped in prosciutto
The taste was amazing and new ( they were grilled 30 secs too long, little hint of burnt taste which took away from the experience)
Beef Carpaccio with butter poached lobster, mixed greens and cherry tomatoes.
Very fresh ( needed a drizzel of some sort maybe a sweet mustard) as neither had a dominant flavour.
Mains...
Fresh tomato Linguine. Tossed tiger shrimp with crab. Cherry tomato, rapini, olive oil and garlic,... Wifey is still raving about it. Best pasta she has ever had.
Risotto. comes with beef tenderloin tips, wild mushrooms cream sauce.
Excellent, beef was melt in your mouth tender and great mushroom selection.
Wild B.C. Rockfish ( Rockfish is like Snapper). the portion of fish was huge.
Side vegetable was excellent and crisp... wifey has found her new favorite place for Italian.
Veal chop, with a wild mushrooms and a truffle cream reduction.
Bit over cooked ( med well... should have been med- med rare) and there was no truffle flavour in the reduction. more of a mushroom flavour... very good, but was looking for that distinct truffle punch.
Espresso and the "off menu" cheese cake.
This 3 cheese ( marscapone, ricotta, and cream cheese) cheese cake is ridiculously good. your really need to experience it.
As I always say.... best compliment I can ever give.
"I would go back."

I have been to Turtle Jacks a hundred times, always get a salad, or chicken fingers or typical pub food.
Today I thought I would try the bacon, cheeseburger....I'm telling you, from the first bite, it was just incredible!!! So juicy and delicious. Quality of meat was amazing. Don't add anything to it, just eat it as it, soooooo amazing :)

This beautiful stone building was built in 1824 and was originally named The North American Hotel, it has remained open as a restaurant since. Now named Mill Street and Five American House, we offer clients a warm relaxing environment and meals made to order. Daily food and drink features along with Live entertainment Friday and Saturday Nights and Sunday afternoons always provide a great escape. We have outdoor Seating on 2 separate patios and a Party room which can accommodate groups up to 34. We look forward to hosting you on your next visit.

My husband and I went to the Keg for my birthday. We ordered the 8 ounce strip loin.
I wanted mine medium, but it came out a bit under done for my liking. They took it right back to re fire it, so it was a bit better when it came back.
Sad part was, when mine came back, my husband was almost done his meal, and my mashed potatoes were no longer hot. The manager was very kind, apologized and to my surprise, I ordered a rye and Coke, and it was on the house.
The Caesar salad was very good, and the mashed potatoes (when hot), are very good. I found my steak to be chewy, but I ate it anyways.
If I could make a suggestion to the franchise is this....my husband doesn't consume alcohol, so the only near beer was o'dooles. That one contains .05 % alcohol. Maybe you can sell the budweiser prohibition, as that one is the closest in taste and contains 0.0% alcohol.
At the end of my meal, I was presented with a lovely desert ( very yummy), for my birthday.
I would go back, but I would choose a different cut of meat.

I have been twice for lunch. I had Haddock and Chips first and another time I had the Halibut and Chips. Both times, the portions were the perfect bite. Homemade batter and crisply cooked without being greasy. Chips are also home-cut and not greasy. The portions are not too large to create wasted leftovers, and not so limited as to leave me hungry. The price was much less than I have paid elsewhere for even less quality! note, it is licensed to serve beer as well. It is a family operated business of many years and they continue to be inviting to all patrons and share their experiences.I am looking forward to my next visit to enjoy Scallops and Shrimp!

Had a reservation. We have eaten here before and had not been back fr a while because of bad service. Thought we would give it another go.
Food took exactly 1 hour. Waiter never apologized for the wait or offered something while we waited. Our daughter was starving.
Lots of take out like a revolving door, which obviously took priority.
When food arrived it tasted good, however the waiter never asked us if we liked it nor did he offer us more to drink. It is insulting when you see other tables getting their water glasses filled yet we were completely ignored.
To add insult to injury, we were made to pack our own leftovers yet I saw other tables had their leftovers packed for them by the server.
No apology for anything. If the kitchen is slow I don’t blame the server but the server represents the restaurant and so he should at the very least acknowledge that we waited far too long (1 hour to be exact)!!!
Too bad we will never go back again.

This small cafe is in the heart of the old section of Waterdown. It is small, has great ambiance, provides great service, has a nice selection of hot and cold drinks, makes great food, and is licensed as well. I highly recommend visiting this cafe if you're in Waterdown.

Welcome to the Lord Byron Steak & Seafood House Restaurant where delicious steaks, fresh seafood, table side flambe preparation and impeccable service make your evening a truly enjoyable experience. Call Today & Book Now!
Charming steak house from the 70's or 80's. You can tell that there are a lot of repeat customers. Although the prices are "pricy" their portions are very generous. The cuts of meat are excellent, so I guess you get what you pay for. Large shrimp, large salads, my only complaint is that it is noisy. I guess that's a sign of success since they were reasonably full. I would return for sure.

My wife and I checked out AJ's Grill recently and were happily impressed with the restaurant, the food and the service. Everything was top notch. We both had their Classic Combo which included 2 Bacon, 2 Sausage, 2 Pancakes
with 3 Eggs plus toast and hashbrowns all for $11.99. Food was cooked just right and the coffee was hot and plentiful. Overall a great place to come for a bite to eat.
