The delightful village of Watamu is an eco-tourist’s dream, lined with sandy white beaches and hotels dedicated to sustainable tourism. Watamu is a quick snorkel away from the Malindi Marine Reserve Park, and Turtle Beach is the ideal spot for a swim and a tanning session. The village proper features quaint Kenyan shopping stalls called dukas, where you can stock up with supplies. Make sure to visit the Gede Ruins, a mysterious and heavily overgrown 12th century Swahili village, and the beautifully fluttery Kipepeo Butterfly Project.

Immersed in a unique African setting and located in the most spacious residential area (Golf Club Area), tranquility and relaxation make it a boss. Approximately 7/800 meters from the sea (Island of Love) and 10 minutes from the Shopping Center, stands Rafiki Village with swimming pool, massage area, laundry / ironing, tropical garden and large solarium with shower; The interior spaces are large and allow for comfortable living, living and terraces are placed in the house to always allow the beautiful view of the roof in Makuti and live serenely the outdoor environments that are the most used and appreciated. Cook available, daily housekeeping, change of bed linen and towels every 3 days, laundry and ironing service, gardener, night askari, emergency call watch and emergency call medical assistance. Composed of 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms + 3 single beds (to be added) and large covered areas.
Just to start with, words cannot fully describe the experience. We had 2 villas since we were a large group and they were incredible, comfortable and very accommodating for everyone. The villas are spacious with enough places to relax for everyone without feeling crowded and the pool too though it appeared small was very fun to be in with the whole group. Jaliwa and Gloria made the trip even more wonderful for the meals the prepared us throughout the day and showing us all around Watamu .The food was incredible and the villa was a perfect choice. The villa isn't next to the beach but its like a 5 min drive and you can also go to various beaches along the stretch. Would definitely recommend coming here and it can accommodate everyone from couples to families to groups of friends. Thanks again to Massimo and his team Jaliwa,Gloria and the rest. Will be back soon

Zawadi Residence is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Watamu, offering a family-friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. Zawadi Residence is a family-friendly bed and breakfast offering a kitchenette in the rooms. Plus, guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant, which has made this a popular choice among travelers visiting Watamu. For guests with a vehicle, secured parking is available. Travelers looking to enjoy some fish and chips can head to Pilipan Restaurant - Watamu or The Ocean Sports Restaurant. Otherwise, you may want to check out a cafe such as Bahati Gelateria Italianna Andrea. Best of all, Zawadi Residence makes it easy to experience some great Watamu attractions like Bio-Ken Snake Farm (1.0 mi), which is a short distance away. Enjoy your stay in Watamu! We inform all the guest that Zawadi Residence has the Health Kenya Licence to operate according with the rules of Kenya lows for Covid 19. Thank you
This B&B is horrible and the owner of this property is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this property to anyone at all as I really did not enjoy my stay here and hope everyone think twice before booking here. Terrible service and terribly run B&B.

We stayed at Rose House which is a three bedroom family cottage on the grounds of the Marijani Hotel. We did not visit the hotel but can highly recommend Rose House as an affordable family option. The swimming pool which is shared with the hotel is big and really beautiful, and clean. Perfect for evening swim after a day at the beach. The house itself is well furnished, with big bathrooms, and the housekeeping keeps it immaculate. Water was very hot from the solar heater, though on our third day the flow mysteriously stopped. WiFi is good enough for the kids to stream. Power went off but a technician quickly came to reconnect it. Bui made us a really tasty seafood dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. There are also three friendly and attentive small dogs. The location is a couple of minutes from the beach though not Watamu’s best beaches. Those are accessible with a tuk tuk ride. The in town location is a couple of minutes walk from some of Watamu’s nicest restaurants, ice cream, grocery, chemists etc. Definitely a nice place for a stay with family and though we spent only a few days I would imagine really good for long stays to explore Watamu and Kilifi.

I stayed in five star and boutique hotels, but this was a luxury. My room was spacious, its color scheme was pleasant. The bed was like made for Goldilocks - neither too hard nor too soft. The food was good home cooking and no waste was incurred. The hotel is located on a hill overlooking a mangrove forest. At night you can see the Milky Way from there. What made staying at Eagle Camp special was the people, I felt like I had been visiting a relative and not at the Hotel.

The place is advanced neglect with very low hygiene across the board. The personnel adds attitude to extreme laziness. The complementary chef makes such bad food we started to cook by ourselves and the kitchen is simply filthy...and you end up sharing with the staff (so much for COVID). The disappointement is so extreme I counted every hour to return to Nairobi. A place light years below the rest of the market and its nearest alternative the close by R... Village. Trying to save a buck by choosing this place this place will cost you greatly ! See hiw you find the kitchen in the morning after the staff went after your leftovers

It was a great stay with much convenience to the beach and restaurants. Its fully stocked for your own self catering and very ideal for a long stay. Very clean and organized with a housekeeper to cook for you at a fee. Friendly staff and located at a good neighborhood touching the tarmac road.
