Stopped in for lunch and was mostly pleased with what I found. Having lived in Thailand for 14 years, trying new Thai restaurants is kind of a hobby.Hits: The restaurant is well decorated and clean. The serve staff is friendly and attentive. The bar area takes up about a third of the space. The peanut sauce on my salad was authentic and delicious. Misses: The menu is very Americanized and even includes a steak dinner. The menu is fairly common with choices you'd find in most Thai restaurants. I ordered the Larb Gai with 3 stars (staying away from starch and sugar). It came with a lot of lettuce (a good thing) but the chicken was dry and the heat level was only one star. The Larb was fairly lackluster in flavor until I found all of the liquid at the bottom of the bowl under all of the lettuce. I would suggest putting the lettuce on a separate plate so that the customer can mix in the liquids with the chicken, giving it both flavor and moisture. I think there is potential here and will try it again soon.

Sometimes you just need a quick lunch and Thai Tanee was great for that purpose. Visited here 4-5 times in the last 10 months. Always got the daily special to take away. Example: Phad Thai, Fried Rice, Pot Sticker. All for $10. Surprisingly good quality. And you can see them cooking on the woks right behind the counter. They recently took down their counter and added a few tables. It's turned into a cozy little spot. If you want a quick Thai meal, give this place a try!
I'm no expert in Thai food, but I have been coming to this restaurant for a number of years. In the last year, it is under new ownership, new name, new menu, still warm hospitality, and the food is, in my opinion, better than before. The interior decor is improved. I still love the corrugated metal ceiling, which makes you feel like you are in Bangkok. The brick walls are now brushed with subtle images. But I'll keep coming back for the food, served by warm, friendly folks. You can always get a bottle of Singha or Chang beers from Thailand, or a small selection of wines. We have eaten in or ordered take-out. Servings are ample, and food is authentic and delicious.

No substitutions. The service not so much and really disappointing. No follow-up, no refills, only when we flagged Ginger down to order more food did she visit our table. There is a nice menu with other dishes besides Sushi for those who do not enjoy Sushi. The booth was comfortable and large enough for lots of food dishes. There is seating outside, which is nice. The parking can be trouble since it is a small lot, with many other restaurants and condos.

Took my husband to Preservation kitchen today for Fatherâs Day. Previous experiences have been wonderful in the past. Staff was friendly and food was amazing. Sadly, we walked into an empty bar to enjoy breakfast and were immediately turned away. Due to âlow staff and people to handle the kitchen.â The restaurant was virtually empty and no apologies were given. Furthermore, we were also turned away because we made no reservations. However, open table had reservations open when we were standing outside. The place was empty! I highly encourage other patrons to go into downtown Bothell and try somewhere else. Preservation kitchen has lost good leadership, and passion for its returning patrons. We wonât becoming back

Loved Pen Thai. Just found it they have changed names/ownership?Will try the new place but interested to hear feedback. Hi Travelwa 123. We're still the same ownership, same family. I changed the name to Chantanee to honor my late father and our family name. Please stop by. Thank you very much. Julie Chantanee
