This has become a traditional stop for us, coming home from the airport after a trip. This time, I think however, will be our last time around at Verrazano's. The view, as always, is spectacular. The waiter made herculean efforts to take care of maybe 16 tables - alone. But he was clearly spread too thin which had a poor effect on service. This is not the first time we've seen this at Verrazano's. I ordered a drink "neat". It came to the table watered, with ice. I sent it back. It came back to the table with the ice simply removed, still watery. They finally got it right on the 3rd try. My wife's red wine ostensibly from Brown's winery (a high-end winery) was either old or not from Brown's. The alleged blue cheese dressing on the wedge I ordered was sweet - wrong. I ordered the special of the day, wild mushroom papardelli (sp?). The pasta was too thick and swimming in sauce which was overly lemon-ish flavored, and drowning in way too much truffle oil - maybe that was the lemon flavor. The mushrooms were wild okay - wildly overcooked. I didn't finish it. My wife liked the pizza she ordered. Anyhow, these sorts of things shouldn't happen at the prices charged. You'd expect them at some bar-food place.

Our pie was cooked to perfection. We decided to go with the meat special and were not disappointed. A cup of fagioli completed the hankering for fast Italian fare.

Was surprised there was only a few minute wait at 530. I love the shrimp scampi and everyone enjoyed their pasta dinners. The bonus was being able to take an extra home with their promotion. But the service was the best Iâve ever had at any Olive Garden-wish I had his name.

I've been ordering regularly from this local joint for years. Their offerings are of the traditional sort, but they're never stingy on ingredients and quality is consistent. Check their website for a variety of coupon deals that make their price more competitive with the chain pizza joints. You'll still pay a bit more, but the quality and flavor is a step or five above.

This pizza has the perfect combination of just the right amount of sauce and ingredients. We have had pizza delivery a few times and have never waited for very long. The pizza arrives hot and delicious. This is a nice departure from the run of the mill national chain pizza places. They also deliver some really good sandwiches. I strongly recommend this place for a pizza night.
