This is hands down my favorite place to eat breakfast in town!! The food is amazing and the staff is like family! It can be very noisy at times, but it still can't be beat!

Mystic Cafe has a coffee/pastry side and the full cafe/restaurant on the other side. The decor is very cute/rustic and welcoming, and we had great service. My husband and I were there for dinner and we both felt our entrees were excellent. I had the grilled shrimp, served with rice pilaf and haricot verts; all was excellent. It's $19 and that includes a delicious wedge Caesar or spring mix salad with bleu cheese, candied walnuts, etc. My husband really enjoyed his pork chop with mashed potatoes and the green beans. All was delicious. Bottled beer was only $3. The only disappointment was the bread fresh from the oven; it was pretty tasteless and not worthy of the rest of the meal. We will return!

Service is slow....really, really slow. There was only one guy working all the tables (taking orders, clearing, delivering food, etc). He was doing his best and was friendly. The old guy cooking, he takes his time. Overall the food was good, but nothing great. They left the green chili sauce in an open tub sitting on the counter, I thought that was a bit gross and unhygienic. Also, the woman who seated us and then vanished was a bit aloof. Decor is a bit 80's with that splatter paint, looks like the end credits for Saved By the Bell.

The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food was a little high for the quantity and quality. I thought the food was average at best. I think the best part of the breakfast was the toast. Very good. It was worth a try and it worked in a pinch but if I had more time I would go into Lewiston instead.

I had an enjoyable dinner, and returned a couple days later for breakfast. The food is great, service friendly, and portions large. While the omelets are quite expensive on the regular menu, the same meal on the senior menu is quite reasonable with the 40% discount . Food has a home cooked rather than restaurant quality, and is served by friendly waitresses.
