Enjoyed our evening meal with friends out on the patio. Waitress did an excellent job though there were 10 of us. Food was served warm and together for all of us. We ordered off of the happy hour menu with an array of seafoods from Calimari to Salmon Sliders! All was excell not and just enough. Had a Berry cobbler for dessert! RecommendedHi Ernie! Thank you so much for your feedback and for joining us with friends! It is so great to hear that you were able to enjoy the patio and your evening went smoothly because of the wonderful food and outstanding service that was provided. I will be sure to share your comments with our team and we look forward to seeing you next time! ~Taylor

I've been driving by this interesting looking neighborhood store across from Evergreen Park for years. Finally stopped and found a cool little general store with many specialty items, local items, and fresh soup daily, and that caters and makes individual meals to order. Luckily that day the chef had rec'd an order from a customer for a turkey meatloaf dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed carrots and had packaged up some extras, which I took home for dinner. It was so yummy, it tasted homemade. Turns out he will make almost any meal to order, in advance, bake any pie to order, and in addition he makes full meals for freezing. Stopped there last night and got Beef Stroganoff, Meat loaf, and Lasagna. The Stroganoff is absolutely delicious--not a heavy cream sauce that can overwhelm the beef and noodles, but light with many flavors. Found out that he adds different spices and flavors that really make it so much better than typical restaurant food. We've also had turkey tetrazzini--yummy and chicken enchiladas that were very good and such a big meal we shared one between us. I've been stopping by weekly to pick up whatever meals he has in the freezer.

Serving delicious and affordable homemade breakfast and lunch options, come visit The Grey House Cafe! Well known for our Teas and High Teas, and try our selection of beer and wine as well as mimosas and sangria. We can also host special events for up to
We've been to the Grey House before and enjoyed it because of good food, its spelling from my childhood crayon box, its English tea house charm, and its association with Debbie Macomber, who is a fabulous human being. We've had the High Tea experience--charming-- and lunch-- tasty-- but this was our first time for breakfast. What a pleasant surprise! Due to the weather, they didn't have a Sunday brunch, but my husband had their omelette-- he loved it-- cheesy potatoes, and coconut scone. He was pleased enough that he couldn't decide which flavor to finish with. In the end it was the scone with strawberry cream cheese dabbed on. My Biscuits and gravy were elegant and excellent, with crisp-edged biscuits that went with the gravy in the most delightful way. I'm looking forward to my leftovers. The food highlight that may bring us back several times this week, is the cinnamon roll. We got it to go and had it for dessert after dinner. Wow! This may have been the best cinnamon roll we've had, and we've had some good ones. This one was the perfect amount of sweet, light, chewy, crisp, cinnamon goodness. We had the choice between caramel and cream cheese. We chose cream cheese. I'm sure the caramel was delicious, but the cream cheese was lick-the-box, cross-your-eyes-and-hear-angel-song fantastic. Friendly service, charming inside and out, and a surprisingly romantic breakfast.

I stopped here for lunch. This location has had a few sandwich shops in the past. The restaurant has been redone and is open and comfortable with kind of a contemporary industrial look. I had the BLT with Pimento Cheese, or the PBLT. The sourdough bread was well grilled and the bacon and tomato were tasty. I like the pimento cheese because it had a nice spicy bite. The sandwich came with a side of coleslaw that was uninspired, just tasted like cabbage with some olive oil. I question a bit the pricing of around $14 for a sandwich in this area, but maybe things have changed more than I know
