1. Sea Breeze BBQ Hut
It's a yellow and green small building by itself. Right next to the bank of the Pacific, we have 6 tables outside and 2 inside. Our maximum capacity is 16 people. So not very big, but we have really good food.

We are not very adventuresome diners, but had heard many good things about Sea Breeze and decided to give them a try. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were able to sample several jerk items and decided on the jerk chicken with beans and rice. While the food was fresh and portions were large, we found it just wasn't our cup of tea. (Nothing against this establishment, guess we're just not fans of jerk style BBQ.) The facility is not terribly wheel chair friendly as the restaurant is basically sized to accommodate take out orders. There are picnic tables available should weather allow. Don't let this review deter you from trying Sea Breeze, especially if you're a fan of jerk-style BBQ.Thank you. Hope we have something you will like if you choose to come back again.

This restaurant has good food overall and a nice mixed drinks menu. However we were disappointed how their menu (which you can see online at their website) marks a number of items as gluten-free but if you talk to them, they will tell you that many of the "GF" items are fried in a fryer with gluten items and not advised for anyone with celiac disease. (And obviously, those with celiac disease are the people who care the most about gluten-free menu labelling!!!) So that was very disappointing and frustrating for my son and me, as we couldn't order any of the sides that he wanted, although we did at least find main dishes that were OK.

My husband and I are new to OC and stopped in for lunch one afternoon. Hungry for some good bbq, I ordered the Rodeo...two pork ribs and a large chicken thigh. The combo includes two sides (I chose Cowboy Beans and Potato Salad) and a delicious chunk of cornbread. Everything was so yummy! The pork and chicken were super tender with great bark. The beans were a surprise for me since they had shredded pork in them. They were heavenly! The staff was super friendly and the meals came out quickly. The prices canât be beat. Some of the best food at the lowest prices we have seen on the peninsula. They offer a large selection of beverages, too, including a delicious huckleberry lemonade. You must try this! We will definitely return to sample more of their delicious food. Canât wait!
