A group of us went to Olympia for a wedding and had three dining experiences with Three Mags; 2 in their brew-pub and another at the wedding, all three experiences were great!I go to brew-pubs in many cities and I travel a lot; Three Mags is as good as I've had. Their beers are proper, in style and in creativity. A dreamsicle hazy IPA?? That's the kind of stuff they dream up and it was fantastic. Their Hazy IPA, also great. But don't go there for pre-dinner drinks then leave; dine in and experience all they have to offer. Smoked meats is where they shine and they didn't disappoint! We had meats, sandwiches, cheese curds and oysters; all of it wonderful.Oh, you need catering? They do that too! They catered the wedding we attended, providing pig-roast and what must have been a 200 lb dish of pallella! That pallella was off-the-charts good. Lots of mussels and shrimp, great flavor and texture, just a knock-out dish. I did control myself and stop after thirds. There are a few good brew-pubs in Olympia and if you're going to hit a few, don't miss Three Mags!

A group of six of us meet once a week for burgers. Thus far, Fatsoâs has the edge for good burgers. My favorite is the Fair Burger with cheddar. This place is usually busy but the servers are friendly and efficient. Parking is not a problem. If you want fancy, donât come here, but if you want decent food, a beer or a drink at decent prices, this is a good spot.

I have always found Applebee's to serve generic food, in a quasi-bar-like atmosphere with sub-par service.Forced by my family to give it another try after about 7 years, we stopped here fully expecting the same results. I was wrong. While the food has improved some and I found something that I liked without the faked culinary experimentation I experienced the last time. Who puts cranberry sauce on a basic turkey sandwich without stating it in your menu? Anyway, the food was much better and tasted real not from a box. The service was what I was most impressed with. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured we enjoyed our experience. We have visited once more since this time because of this experience.

Met a friend for lunch and it was our first time to this restaurant. Parking is very difficult. This restaurant is in a relatively residential neighborhood where there is only on street parking. The restaurant has two spaces on their property one of which is handicap. Food was good. I found the menu limited. We got there when they opened at eleven and it started getting busy around noon. Unfortunately, it gets a bit loud because there are no soft surfaces but this is just the design way of cafes these days.

The handmade pizza was excellent and with a choice of several fresh salads made for a great, quick meal. About a dozen or so beers on tap plus a huge cooler full of canned and bottled beer local and national, plus wine, kombucha, etc.

Lots of positive comments about the service, decor, and food at this place. I ordered the veggie curry with rice and a side of smoked salmon. For me it was a sharable portion but I'm a light eater most of the time. I thought it was great although I usually like some chicken with this type of dish. If sharing I suggest at least adding a protein. Either way I believe it's a great choice. I tried a bite of my wife's crab cakes and they were wonderful too. The decor is typical McMenamins so it's comfortable and has an old school feel. To me, it's exactly the type of place where I can relax and have an enjoyable meal. The service is attentive and timely - no rush or unreasonable delays. I thought the pricing was OK and got out of the place with three dinners, a couple of drinks, and two desserts with tip for less than $100. Now for the men's room. I believe you can tell a lot about a place by taking a quick peek into the bathrooms. It wasn't horrible but it needed some attention. Not a deal killer but a note to the management - pay attention to this issue and 5 stars would have been my rating.BTW, if you got anything out of this review I would appreciate a "helpful" vote. Thanks!

With more than triple its original seating and a kitchen that spans the former brewing floor, the Pub offers a robust menu featuring local meat, bread, and produce. And while the Pub's 24 taps of beer and cider can present guests with a daunting selection
Hard to believe that recent reviews remain positive about this establishment. Rumors are that they will be closing soon. Not sure if this is true but they act like it. Two of their own most popular beers were not available. Are they going to brew more? Our less than enthusiastic waiter did not know when this might happen. They still had some good draft options from other breweries but this is not what we came for. After a while deciding what we would eat and we tried to order Crab Cakes, we were then informed that they were not available either. Perhaps this could have been mentioned when we were first given the menus?? So two of us ordered the fish and chips and the fish had no taste. Lots of crispy breading but the fish was mediocre at best. We both ate just half of the 3 pieces. When asked if we wanted take out boxes, I said that it was not good enough to take home. Our waiter just walked away. The other two meals were pretty good but our hosts may have just been trying to be positive.
