Tucked away on the corner of a busy intersection of 4th Ave W and 128th St SW near the southern edge of Everett city limits, this restaurant looked promising upon entry, with somewhat of a nice ambiance that could probably use some music. They have a couple of wonderful tables on the far southwest and far southeast of the restaurant that remind one of a Chinese restaurant with their lazy Susans, but the décor is definitely Italian. It's somewhat cozy despite having windows looking towards the busy intersection. After getting us some water, service crawled thereafter. Despite a restaurant that was at most 1/4 full, and there may be 20 tables total in the place, it took fro 30-45 minutes to see our server or our meals, then at least 20-30 minutes after we were done to get a chance to flag down our server (unless I had chosen to arise and chase after her) and a few minutes more to see our bill. My beverage was never refreshed, and the service was reason enough not to even ask about dessert. There was only one server, but she was meandering around and not making any haste. We both had parmesan meals, yet each were prepared differently. The cheese on mine had hardened, the chicken breaded and in chunks, the spaghetti it rested on thick, and this was supplemented with breadcrumbs, this preparation a first in my lifetime of eating such meals. It didn't taste bad or too warmed over, but not fresh. My girlfriend's eggplant version had skinless chicken and no breadcrumbs, the way I'm used to seeing it, plus the addition of so. On the other hand, the garlic bread was outstanding.I would go elsewhere the next time my hunger calls for Italian food, as the food was at best average, save the garlic bread, and the service sub-par.

We went to the Astoria Pizza restaurant last weekend for my granddaughter's birthday party. Diane served us the best pizzas that were thick with meat and other toppings. It was evident that she was proud of having worked there several years, and praised the owner she worked for. Do not let the front of the building fool you. Its what inside that counts. When we left, we had extra ice cream and they gave us a white container and filled it with ice so that we could make it home without melting. Good food. Good service.

Portofino Restaurant has been in business for over 25 years, the goal has stayed the same quality, fast service and a friendly neighborhood environment. Making almost everything in-house requires a lot of work but we know that this pays off when you try o
We went to Portofino for a birthday dinner. Everyone enjoyed being there. The food was good with the exception of far toooo much garlic even when I asked for none on my food. They are accommodating, the restaurant is well staffed and pleasant, very, very noisy after 5:30 p.m. We could not hear each other. They have crustless pizza which everyone enjoyed, I had salmon which was above average. Others had ravioli and other entrees and enjoyed it.

Pizza was pretty bad. It had nothing on the dough. The vegetables were few & far between. Never had pizza that had nothing on it and no taste.

My husband got the fettuccine di mare and he was so thrilled hat there was WAY MORE SEAFOOD THAN PASTA. The seafood was so plentiful, that he pasta was almost an afterthought. And the sauce! He's still raving. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and had been craving Italian food after a week in the San Juans and it did not disappoint! Just what I had been craving plus some. It's off the beaten path, but so worth it!

This "branch" of Spiro's is along the busy Mukilteo Speedway, but set off from the road, and it was nearly empty the evening we visited. I was a regular at the Shoreline "branch," and this one held up against that always-busy edition. This one does not appear as large as the Shoreline one, but perhaps more atmosphere, as it doesn't seem subject to school and community events and, for that matter, staff from the nearby school (a neutral comment, just an observation!).We found the food here to be tasty, plentiful, delivered in a reasonable time, in our case by their courteous manager. It was a pleasant experience, and I intend to return.

Let it be known the value of appearing on a well-known list, in this case Amazon restaurants. We had seen it there before, were looking for somewhere nearby where we could get something that we could eat fairly quickly before a sporting event, and still had a hankering for New York pizza from a couple of misfires in that department of late. I phoned in an order to a very cheery (as it turned out) owner who was a friendly Asian woman (unexpected) who had lived in New Jersey and saw a need. The restaurant is just north of the Walgreen's along Mukilteo Speedway that's near the library and city offices. It's in the next building to the north of the drugstore and in the same complex as Starbucks, and given that its length drive-through takes one counterclockwise around the entire building, one would think this restaurant would benefit from that traffic, though that's pre-coffee fix!The restaurant itself is smaller, somewhat like a deli. Our pizza was ready, perhaps 20 minutes total from time of order to ready, and delivered with conversation of "back east." My girlfriend is a transplant from this century and lived in NYC, whereas I only lived there until I hit double-digits in age, and it never came up in conversations until now. Thus, "New York pizza" was only familiar to her, and she gave it a thumbs up. I enjoyed it as something new and different. While perusing their menu, I noticed selections of pasta, grinders, wraps, Philly steaks, and salads, well-priced and tempting. We'll definitely head back to "Bite of New York" to try out that side of the menu!

Pizza was nothing to shout about, the atmosphere felt a bit sticky, and they have your serve your own drinks. Large staff behind the counter would have been better off serving the customers and not just laughing and talking. Not impressed with the food or the service.
