I couldn't help but return this summer for VL's seafood linguini. A truly savory dish with a uniquely herbal (and creamy) tomato flavor I can't write identify. My brother opted for fettucini (last year) and a chicken dish (this year) and was equally pleased both times.

Family came here for lunch on Sunday. Maybe we arrived too close to opening time. We were immediately seated and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The problem was the food. I had the Giro and it tasted like it was made with reheated sliced meatballs. Two of our group had the meatball sub and it WAS made with reheated sliced meatballs. The flavor was just lacking. Nuff said.

We came here with family. We were greeted by a pleasant staff and were seated quickly. Our server was very adept and looked after our needs courteously and professionally. He checked our table frequently and refilled our drinks quickly. I had the chicken fettuccine which is always good and my family enjoyed their menu items along with their hallmark salad and breadsticks. An excellent meal with excellent service. We plan on coming here every time we visit the region.

Place is low profile and small. Half fast food half dine-in restaurant. The pizzas are tasty, and served fast, plenty of variety as well. Also serve some beer and wines. But I feel it is a bit pricey for a little place like that. Or maybe it is considered average for the town. Maybe better for delivery.

Chef Linh of Lynn's Bistro created a second restaurant in the heart of Kirkland offering a different type of culinary adventure. Cafe Lilac features chef de cuisine Gionata Salemme from Rome, Italy. Offering a casual, comfortable atmosphere to gather with
This restaurant is owned by the same chef that owns Lynn's Bistro next door. We held a family birthday party with 14 people and everyone's food was excellent. The menu has lots of wonderful Italian options, enough so that most in our party had different choices. The service is excellent and the restaurant very clean. Try the polenta fries. There are several Italian restaurants in downtown Kirkland, but this one is special

We discovered Acropolis Pizza and Pasta this summer and have enjoyed several meals already. The pizza has a layer of cheese topping over the other ingredients that is yummy; our favorite is the Greek pizza. The grinders are also a great option as they are huge so are perfect for sharing. We particularly like either the meatball or spicy sausage grinder. The restaurant also features Greek dishes which will be fun to try. The staff is so friendly and welcoming; they make eating at their restaurant extra fun.

My wife and I celebrated our 19th anniversary at Volterra, and were super-impressed by everything about our visit: the service, selection, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch. We'll be back.We started with a cocktails and my Manhattan was spot-on, a delicious take on the classic with the added additional of hazelnut. My wife ordered the Limoncello Rosemary Drop which was excellent. Our basket of bread was devoured, and even better with the house flavored butter. To start I had a bowl of tomato bisque, which was about as good as you can make it. I mopped up the leftover soup with the fresh bread. Heaven in a bowl.I stayed with the fresh sheet for my main, which was the amazing wild boar pasta. The sauce was rich and meaty, served with fresh-shaved parmesan over spiral noodles. An amazing plate of pasta, among the best I've ever enjoyed. My wife had the lobster risotto, was I was only offered a single mouthful of, but what I tasted was delicious. She ate every last bit.We topped things off with the tiramisu, which was split. It was a perfect end to an amazing meal. Volterra is a restaurant to which we will return again, with eager anticipation.

We enjoyed a spectacular dinner here this evening! Our meal started with a soft robust red Montepulciano dâAbruzzo wine and warm site-made bread with butter. We shared a generous Insalata Caprese, with top notch buffalo mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil and balsamic vinegar. My husband ordered the Cioppino, and it was studded with clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, salmon and halibut, cooked in a savory red sauce, one of the two best heâs ever enjoyed! I thoroughly enjoyed my fettuccine with Italian sausage in a cream sauce. Our servers were prompt and spot on with all elements of meal service, despite the restaurant being s busy! Highly recommend and weâll come again for sure!

The three of us started with delicious black bean soup. They also had minestrone. My husband ordered a shrimp, mushroom and spinach salad with feta and lemon poppyseed dressing. He like it a lot. I got a vinaigrette salad that featured romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, black olives, red onions and I ordered chicken on top. There was more romaine than anything else. The other items were rather sparse. The vinaigrette dressing was good. My son got a pizza which he enjoyed. The wines by the glass were good. We didnât order dessert, but the table next to us ordered chocolate cake, cheesecake and spumoni and the servings were large. They seemed to enjoy them. Our server was attentive and our wait for food short. The menu was extensive with lots of great entrees and pastas, but Iâm on weight Watchers and there were too many calories to indulge in them.

Weâve been coming here for many years and have always enjoyed exceptional meals and service. This is without a doubt the best restaurant on the Eastside and in the top 3 for the greater Seattle area.Dined here recently and had the Rack of Lamb. Best ever, period. They used to have a Saddle of Lamb that was very good but the Rack with three generous ribs blew me away.Thereâs a reason Holly is a James Beard winner. This place is consistently excellent.John Davidson
