My wife and I went for our 15th wedding anniversary. I had been looking forward to it for years. I have been to all the "best" steak restaurants in the area and when I travel, I look for good steakhouses as well. This was billed as the best around here. I will say, the steak was excellent. The price point on the cut was high, but would have been well-deserved if everything else had been better. It was very busy and even with reservations made well in advance we had to wait. Service was slow and they seated us in what appeared to be an overflow area. It was cramped (I kept backing into the guests next to us) and we had a tiny table. It was too loud to converse well. Oysters muscovite were good, but pretty standard. Crab cakes were cold and disgusting. Steak was cooked perfectly, well-seasoned and tasty. However, the mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy, even undercooked. My wife ordered the crab legs. It was cold too and didn't seem all that fresh. Almost like it had been sitting out too long before it was cooked. For this price, everything should have been perfect. It just wasn't.

There are times when a reliable establishment is just what one needs. Thank you, Peacock Lounge. We enjoyed a Spokane Saturday dinner out, the Spokane Symphony, an event after the music, then wanted a reliable nightspot where we could enjoy drinks, the musicians wanted food, and we wanted to converse. The Peacock lounge provided all, good libations, good service, meals for those that needed it, ambiance, and a noise level that allowed easy conversation for five people.

Stayed the weekend w/ my son over the fourth of July in the âvintage/historic towerâ and was quite impressed. Double queen room was large and bathroom/shower/tub was that of a suite. Beds were fabulous, dining in the lobby restaurant was great and would recommend to anybody planning a stay in Spokane... Well worth getting away the homogeneous highway generic chain hotels and strolling the downtown streets and shops. Plenty of on-street parking too.

The interior very lovely and larger than seems from crowded entry. Wait staff surprisingly befuddled at times. Lettuce wraps excellent and some of entrees wonderful. Pork tenderloin and ahi salad were raved about as well as curry soup. My peach linguine ...meh. My cucumber cocktail also meh. Not sure I would go back

Frank's is an institution in Spokane. Set in an actual train car, this charming diner serves up the best breakfast, lunch and dinner. Homestyle cooking and great comfort food. Crowds can be large, especially on Weekends for breakfast. My go-to at Franks has always been a ham and cheese omelet. The omelets are done on the grill, thin and delicious. (half size available and all I can manage) I am now eating gluten free and they have been very accommodating, but I would not say they have a gluten free kitchen... plenty of bread and biscuits being slung. They have a second location on the north side that is equally great! Frank's is also available via Uber eats and they happily will prepare food to go as well.

Fast friendly service from our server Joe. Fun northwoods decor. Ordered a gluten free bun for my hamburger which was fresh and delicious. Decorated it with applewood bacon, grilled onions and avocado slices. Yum. Partner ordered prime rib dip with mac n' cheese. He devoured it.We stopped on our way out of the Spokane airport. Convenient.
