The Golden Steer has won Kent's Best Family Restaurant for the past three consecutive years. We specialize in steak, prime rib, and home-style dinners while also serving a full breakfast, lunch, and Sunday brunch.
I have always been happy with the food and drinks I get here. Everyone is nice and helpful and the owners are truly part of the community. I always run into them at functions for the city, either donating their food or their time. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We went in late (11:30 pm). The service was satisfactory. The food was satisfactory. I had the Italian Grinder. While it was OK, it needed something else to move it up a notch. The people we were with said their burgers were ok, but nothing outstanding. The beers selection is a 4. I cannot speak for the cocktails.

The food is so fresh and made so deliciously!! You have to pass the kitchen to get to the bathroom and everything always looks so perfect and professionally kept up. The people are wonderful and always extremely happy!!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone. They have some of the best of many foods, American, seafood, Thai, teriyaki, etc. Perfect all around!!

Went here as staying nearby and wanted some beers and food. The beers were Ok but none of the house beers stood out they were all just a little bland. The guest beers they had on were much better, having guest beers was a really nice touch. The food was good but not excellent. Service was good.

Stopped in for some drinks and to watch some college football. Really fun place, with games, TVs, drinks and good food. Service was friendly. Not a great beer selection which is a little disappointing, but a great overall drink menu. We shared some coconut prawns that were awesome.

Great burgers cooked to perfection. A nice big menu with lots of alternatives and a good selection of craft beers. I look forward to returning and trying other things.

Situated two blocks south off the fashionable 'Kent Station' area, 307 W Meeker Street is an introduction to 'an old fashioned' diner, with experienced, friendly staff and an breakfast at is filling, well presented and excellent value. From the outside it gives the impression of an empty shop, but inside it is larger than anticipated with fresh flowers on the table and a menu that includes "Maggie Mess" - in addition to the usual breakfast 'standards'.Never shy to try something different, my plateful full of fried onions, sausage and has browns covered with gravy was excellent in terma of flavor, content, presentation and above all taste. We enjoyed the 'banter' with the staff who kindly informed us that 'Maggie' died 17 years ago. Gone but not forgotten.

Got a crab/egg covered with hollendase sauce and beyond bland which was expensive and very disappointing. Bland with zero Unami and flavor. Even though next door to our hotel, we didnât bother to go back. We chose Burger King instead down the street and got a better breakfast at much cheaper price!

The eggs Benedict was fantastic, the latte was almost too perfect to drink. We love eating here, local, fresh, feels like home. . Friendly staff, great food. We never leave without buying some of their unbelievably beautiful and tasty pastries and or freshly baked breads. Our favorite bread is the garlic-rosemary.

Dukeâs happy hour is a must stop when we visit family in Kent. What is better than a reasonably priced drink, awesome offerings such as salmon sliders, calamari, Cesar salad, hamburgers, chowder, and more? The servers are also very friendly and efficient.
