Although it's just 35 minutes by ferry from Seattle, Bainbridge Island is a totally different world. Travelers who enjoy the outdoors can hike, bike or walk in the Bloedel Reserve or Fort Ward State Park. The island feels rural, and local agriculture is a source of pride for residents (check out what's in season at the farmers' market). Bainbridge Island is also known for its strong visual and performing arts culture, and there's good shopping in Winslow.

Everything about our visit was good. The service was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere and surroundings are excellent. The food was very good. It was not, however, excellent, in my opinion. I had scallops and the presentation was very nice. The portion was large, and so was the price! They were a bit undercooked. What was missing was that there was nothing distinctive. It was good, but not outstanding.I would go back and I do recommend Agate.

The new area of Hitchcock's Deli might be good. Or maybe not. It looks good from the outside looking in. I have seen people on occasion drinking coffee and maybe even eating a lunch. But this place closes when it choses. Who knows when they will feign give us the chance to sample to goods.Hi,We've been open for full service from 11 am to 9 pm, 6 days/week for a month. Sorry if you swung through on a Monday and missed us. We also have counter service from the deli next door available from 8-11 during which you are welcome to hang out in the bar space while enjoying your coffee drink and pastry.Who knows, it might even be good? Hard to review a place that you've never eat before, isn't it?Brendan

Fresh made to order Pizzas, Pasta & Salads. Wine & Beer on Tap.
The pizza here is a bit too cheesy for me, but good value and many people enjoy it. They deliver as well.....Thank you for your feedback - we appreciate you taking the time to contact us. We make pizzas to order as well. If less cheese is what you prefer, definitely let us know! Thank you again and we hope you'll come back!

Good Egg offers a wide array of hearty, healthy options for breakfast and lunch. Easy walk from the ferry through town to the intersection of Winslow and Madison. All ages bar seating inside, patio outside, big green space for kids and dogs to play, grab
For people who appreciate select and local ingredients thoughtfully combined and always offered with charm and humor too! Could not pass-up the op for Portuguese soup and alongside an amazing special of sauteed mushrooms over whipped hummus lightly toasted almonds. A perfect compliment to my wife's slightly lemony guac-toast and thankfully we happily share as everyone should so as to explore more of the menu!

We toured Bainbridge and got to the commercial area / square where Treehouse Cafe was located. We were seated at a table for six and ordered.. The pizzas and sandwiches along with a great cobb said were served promptly. Food and service were real nice. Towards the end of the lunch, electricity went out in the region and we were able to clear our tab with casino hand [no card would work] and we departed by lattern light. We had a good time, but curtailed when the power went out - fortunately we had completed eating.

On a recent trip to the Seattle area, we decided to take the ferry over to BI and had dinner at Hitchcock. The ferry ride was probably the most reasonable way to see Seattle from the water and contributed to the fun. We ordered a la carte (not the tasting menu) and enjoyed the seasonal ingredients and delicious food. Service was exceptionally friendly.Menu prices seemed reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.

Doc's Marina Grill located on Bainbridge Island has a fantastic outdoor area, serving delicious seafood and American Fares.
Dined here for lunch and it's one of the best meals we had while in Seattle. Food was so fresh and service was great. It's a big restaurant that holds a lot of people but, it's a perfect atmosphere for families and casual dining. Very reasonably priced. Great food and service!

In the English tradition, public houses are homes to which the public is invited to drink, dine and otherwise find community.
Been going here for years. Great selection of beer; and food, IMO, gets an 8.5. Staff usually efficient, some even downright personable, so I will continue to patronize. Very comfortable vibe year-round.Had some calamari the other day which was a bit over cooked and slightly dry. But maybe I'm too picky on this dish.Prices have ballooned on some dishes, but overall, still a good experience.

Sometimes, you just want to have some eggs, crispy bacon, buttery hash browns, and a good old fashioned comfort food breakfast in a simple diner environment. When that mood strikes, you'll be well served at Streamliner Diner. A favorite among locals.
