My sister & I went to Washington for a day of shopping & lunch. We considered several other restaurants but decided on the Blue Duck because of the good reviews & it was different.
Wonderfully pleased with our orders. Sister ordered chicken Stew w/ house salad. She loved the stew.
I had spinach quiche w/ mushroom soup & fried spinach. The crust on the quiche was sooo flakey & delicious. Every thing was just perfect!!! Great place for lunch, not too busy on a cool week day. Plenty of time to eat & visit!! Not rushed & wonderful waiter !!!! Would highly recommend!!!! If I'm ever back to town, will definitely return here!!!

Friendly, local business with exceptionally fresh and delicious sandwiches and wraps. Their homemade desserts are a must, even if it means breaking your diet! It may take a little while for your food to be prepared, but WELL worth the wait. And you won't believe how reasonable their prices are

For coffee, Danish, doughnuts or American Bakery delights this is the place. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturday they have Biscuits and Gravy which is all made in house. They also bake cakes and bread.

We went there on Sunday October 22. The building itself has a long history as do the family that runs this. The food here is just like your mom makes. The fried chicken was perfect. The sides mashed potatoes, stewed apples, German potato salad, and slaw were perfect. Homemade biscuits and pie top it off. Would definitely recommend this if you want a wonderful home cooked meal just like at grandmas

At orange Leaf you're the master of your dessert. We provide the best tasting frozen yogurt on earth, specifically selected toppings, and a bright, fun environment where everyone feels welcome! We believe that the average American wants to make healthier decisions, but will most likely not make the healthier decision when given the choice between a rich and creamy traditional frozen dessert and an icy, bland frozen yogurt. At Orange Leaf, we provide you with decadent flavors reminiscent of your childhood trips to the local dessert shop as well as fruit-based flavors that will suit even the most health conscious individuals. Just like our flavor choices, the toppings bar is a place where you become the master of your dessert. From fresh fruits and nuts to brownie bites and chocolate syrup, the possibilities are endless!
There are many flavors to chose from here, which is nice. But, beware when you pull the handle to fill your cup. By the time you add sprinkles, other toppings, etc you will have a $10 bowl of yogurt. The place is very clean, they are always monitoring the area for spills. The help is friendly.

I recently went on a motorcycle road trip to Washington, MO and stopped for lunch at Sugarfire. We had this place set as a destination ahead of time and we were not disappointing. There is indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the Missouri...MoreWe work hard to make sure food is on point and love doing it. Not to brag, but we all love working together as well. I'm happy to see it is also apparent to customers that we love what we do. Visit again soon!

At first I thought my expectations were too high after reading all of the rave reviews but the Tilted Skillet was a huge disappointment in a town that could really use some fresh, locally sourced restaurants. We ordered take out and not only did they forget about our order (ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes when I arrived for carry outs) but the food was seriously lacking. The chicken Caesar wrap had no chicken! It was dry lettuce in a tomato basil tortilla. The salad was limp and overpriced but at least edible. And then when we got home they forgot two items from our order. I try to avoid chain restaurants at all costs but would recommend the local Applebee's over this place

We were touring Missouri's wine country and wanted to stop in Washington, Missouri for lunch. We did not want fast food so drove in to the downtown area to find a restaurant. We came upon Marquart's The Landing and decided to eat there. It was a very pleasant day so we asked to be seated outside. We saw toasted ravioli on the menu and since outside of eastern Missouri it is hard to find, we both ordered that and were pleased with the result. The service was fast and friendly. They have an extensive menu, plenty of seating and a bar area, which we walked through to get to the outside seating. It seemed like it would be a place to go to for dinner or to take in the local bar scene. The dress was very casual. It is situated within close walking distance to the Missouri River.
