The unashamedly Italian venue by hospitality duo James Bradey and Warren Burns (Grandmaâs, The Wild Rover, Wilheminaâs) is dedicated exclusively to Tuscanyâs revered cut of steak, Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Spanning three distinct spaces in a heritage-fron
Can't book for less than 6 and very hard to get a booking even with 6+, but once you're at your table its a great experience. Your only real choice is how many grams of t-bone you want. We were 6 men and 2.2kg was not too much but sufficient if you order a few sides. Great quality beef. Zero choice but thats a good thing, in this day and age with so many dietary restrictions and supposed allergies its great to be forced into an environment where you don't really have a choice. Absolutely not for everyone but an amazing experience.Hi Andrew,Thank you for your kind words. We have just recently extended our opening hours with the Dining Room opening from 5:30pm in the hope that this is going to make it easier for guests to nab a table.Looking forward to having you (and friends!) dine with us again sooner rather than later.Bec

Previous experiences here have been positive, food and service has been good. Not tonight though. Waited over an hour and then finally gave up as no food EVER arrived! No reasonable excuse, no real apology. The place was chaotic, a dog ran through the restaurant no one was served food in any reasonable timeframe. The owner offered a lame apology of âim sorry we are busyâ!!! We booked in advance, itâs not ok actually. We had small children with us. A night of family celebration ruined. I will never return here.

We had an all round great experience here. Sat outside in the sun with a great view of the beach. Food fresh and tasty. Plenty of choice on the menu. Highly recommend the antipasto platter to share. We enjoyed a cold beer but did BYO our wine. Service excellent and very accommodating staff. Thanks Stella Blu, a very pleasant lunch.

Ormeggio at The Spit specialises in contemporary Italian cuisine with a focus on Chef Alessandro's home region, Lombardia. The spectacular water views are matched by the sensational food and acclaimed wine list. Ormeggio at The Spit has Two Chef Hats in t
We enjoyed the "Stressless Sunday" 5 course degustation dinner at $79 / person on Father's Day.As always the dishes are interesting & diverse & not too filling.Their organic wholemeal sourdough bread with homemade Ricotta is a great start. The only disappointments were that there was no menu to explain what the 5 dishes were & that there are no Australian or New Zealand wines available by the glass.Grazie mille Richard! We are pleased you enjoyed the Stressless Sunday menu, as it's a great way to experience some past and present dishes at Ormeggio. The whole aim of the evening is that it is the chefs way of being creative and designing a menu quite à la minute, therefore, we do not provide a menu on this particular evening. The team did explain each dish to you on the evening as this is standard and a very important procedure. As we are an Italian restaurant we do mainly provide Italian wines, however, we do have a number of Australian wines by the bottle. We hope to see you again soon.

We totally love this place, a small hole in the wall restaurant run by a delightful family. John is a very friendly host and nothing is too much trouble. Sonia's food is wonderful, beautifully cooked, unpretentious, home style Italian. We rarely stray from the excellent veal dishes though the pasta never disappoints. The vegetables are always perfectly cooked and the sauces are the perfect complement. If we weren't so addicted to the Bacio gelato we might be disappointed by the range of desserts - and the drinks/wine menu is quite limited too but to be expected in such a small place. However, Sonia focuses on what she does so well - delicious, generous Italian food. We eat at Giovanni's almost every week - it would be every week if they weren't closed on Sunday and Monday nights; highly, highly recommended.

Set on the Manly Wharf where the ferry docks this restaurant is in a splendid position and many seats and tables have excellent views to Sydney Harbour and the beach next to the wharf. Staff were pleasant though food arrived slowly suggesting the kitchen was struggling. Still my oysters were utterly splendid while the crispy skin barramundi was perhaps overcooked. The sweet potato and ginger mash had no taste of anything except sweet potato and the brown sauce did nothing for the fish. Other courses chosen by my husband were certainly generous and I gather the battered fish of the fish and chips was excellent. The starter of meat balls in a tomato sauce was like a main meal so starter prices were barely less than those for mains. And the martini was ridiculously expensive. $190+ for two courses, two glasses of wine and two cocktails is steep in anyoneâs money for this food.

With Italian heritage, even our kids came to this restaurant hard to please. Livotiâs exceeded expectations in terms of flavour. Unfortunately we werenât offered the list of specials, and I only noticed when I went to the counter to pay at the end, that we would have ordered additional food from the specials menu, had we had known.Only negative was one of the staff stood near our table chatting to people they knew and dropped the f bomb a few times. My 6 year old thought it was funny, although my mother certainly didnât.Attempted to return again tonight for dinner, but discovered they are closed on Sundays.Looking forward to returning, I am sure we will become regulars.

Belgrave Cartel is one of Manly's local spots, with chilled out vibes and super friendly service. This wee gem is a cafe by day turned restaurant/bar by night, with all dishes being Italian inspired. The menu has the choice to accommodate shared plates or

Had a beautiful afternoon with my wife. The setting overlooking Freshie beach is magnificent. The degustation menu superb. Chicken involtini was my favourite though other courses were close.Matching Italian/Sardinian wines were well-considered though not all hits. Good friendly service. Top marks
