Great Food, Fresh, Seasonal Fare, Music, Art & Fun
I was visiting campus nearby with a co-worker when we decided to have lunch before we departed. Normally I search for places before trying. But based the reviews here, we selected this cafe. Of course my first thought at the name of this place was the British TV series "Blackadder." Turns out the name of the place is based on owner's maiden name. It was a good thing we were early for lunch, because this place filled up fast. The food was fabulous. I tried their Tuna Edamame Bowl - half order ($7) & a cup of butternut squash soup ($5). After tasting the wonderful food I splurged on dessert a lavender almond cake ($5). Honestly this was one of the best places I have ever eaten at. I can see why it is popular with the locals. It is a small place but well worth the visit. I am sorry that I am not closer to Warrensburg to make more frequent visits.

We are a coffee shop that specializes in freshly roasted espresso drinks and chai tea drinks, all served either piping hot, iced, or blended. We also have a wide variety of smoothies and Italian Cream Sodas.
We used to live just down the road from The Go-go Bean. I will say when we first moved to Warrensburg I had a hard time adjusting to a town with no Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. The Go-Go Bean was a such a great find! Honestly, the service here is so much more personalized and pleasant. They'll make pretty much any coffee drink you like, and they make it well. Since it's a drive-thru, it's very convenient too!

A nice place to sit, with plenty of sunshine. The coffee is great, and the baked goods are too. Try the flourless chocolate cookies. Prices are pretty reasonable for specialty coffee-- cheaper than Starbucks, and tastes better. The service is good -- friendly, but not too friendly-- mostly just efficient and pleasant.

Stopped after dinner and had a taste for a cookie dough Blizzard. Paid extra for extra cookie dough which I certainly didn't get. Service was average and well as the ice cream.

Heroes Restaurant and Pub in Downtown Warrensburg is a locally owned and operated restaurant since 1981. The Scullys and the Wards have been working daily for 34 years to serve the best food in the 'burg! Heroes specializes in FRESH American food. Our burgers are hand pattied from fresh ground beef. Our onion rings are breaded in house and our french fries enter our restaurant as potatoes that are then scrubbed and cut into fries. Heroes serves hand cut steaks from choice beef. Our entree salads are fresh and delicious and served with housemade dressings. Our famous spinach dip and crab dip are housemade. Loads of sandwiches, salads, entrees and burgers have made our restaurant on Pine Street a go-to for university students and personnel, Whiteman AFB personnel and locals who have loved our food for 34 years.
Good service. Food was tasty, attractively plated and appropriately portioned: not too much, not to skimpy. Our table of six was seated promptly and the attentive server admirably maintained water and tea glasses. 3 of our party selected the grilled vegetable salad, adding salmon, and were all pleased with the choice. A good place for lunch after Church on Sunday.

Once upon a Saturday, all damp and dreary, thought pizza and soup sounded cheery so took TripAdvisor's cue and headed to Spin. Though the parking lot was completely empty, we attributed that to the fact that location is tethered to the Univ of Central Missouri (Home of the Fighting Mules) and classes had not yet resumed/students hadn't returned. So, in we splashed through the torrential rain and were deliciously rewarded.
The very friendly staff suggested some interesting 'za combinations, offered tasty salad and homey white bean minestrone and engaged us in lively conversation. Save the 2 millennials head down in their cell phones, we were the only customers there for about 15 minutes. One in our party had Pollo Arrosto & Chevre (Chicken & Goat Cheese), caramelized onions, crimini mushrooms, though taking a suggestion from a helpful Spin crew member (does that make them "Spinsters" or "Spin Masters"???) to sub Italian sausage for the chicken. The other in our party had the 3 meat pizza and a salad, both of us taking advantage of a lunch special where you can mix n match that way.
In the very few minutes we waited for our pizza, other wet folks came in; before we left there were probably 20 customers.
Our servings were very generous, the pizzas nothing less than fabulous-we are admitted pizza snobs-and the soup and salad were savory, fresh, and presented at optimal temps. Crew member Gary checked on us frequently, and encouraged us to complete the perfect lunch with some grand gelato. Recognizing by our stature, silver tresses and faces NOT pasted to cell phones, that Boomer rather than Millenial describes our demographic, Gary changed the background music to 60s rock and adjusted the volume without our asking. Awesome!
The restaurant is set up to optimize views of the Fighting Mule football stadium, has ample seating inside and out, a separate meeting/party room, easy access beverage dispensers, and sparkling clean restrooms.
We don't have SPIN in our part of the country, so while it is a "chain" restaurant, it was new to us and didn't have the corporate chain feel. If we travel through Warrensburg again or other towns that we now know have a Spin, we'll definitely return.

Don't expect to get Starbucks quality stuff here. This is a small coffee shop with a very limited selection of pastries. If you want a coffee on the go or a quick meeting with friends, then this is the place.

Enjoyed a 25 oz. Angry Orchard and burger. Loved that I could actually get a 25 oz. Angry Orchard. The food is always good. My family ordered "Surachi" chicken appetizers and they were edible for me, a person who cannot take hot spicy food. Great atmosphere. Good service.

I was presently surprised by the variety of food choices on the menu. I decided on the jumbo shrimp and loaded baked potato. The service was good (Winter was my waitress) and the food came out quick and hot. The shrimp was very tasty and the potato was good as well. I would definitely eat here again.

I especially like this restaurant for lunch. My favorite is the large loaded baked potato full of BBQ beef, cheese, chives, sour cream and BBQ sauce....It's Great!! My family enjoys eating the BBQ sandwiches and ribs plus the wide variety of sides to choose from. Service is always good and servers are always friendly! This is not a regional BBQ place but a chain restaurant but worth stopping to eat here!!
