This was our second visit this season (so far). Our party of three ordered a half-pound lobster roll (can’t be missed!), fried whole clams (first time trying them at Howard’s), clam fritters and chowder. We were impressed with the fried clams: The batter was perfect, not overly greasy, the clams not chewy, and there was no sand in them at all. The lobster roll was great, as usual, but the fritters were a bit light on clams this time. The chowder, however, was outstanding (kudos to whoever prepared it today!). We were sorry not to have room for their yummy ice cream. We’ll return at least once more before they close for the season. Now we’re torn between the lobster rolls and the clams. Oh, well…decisions, decisions. And we’ll be sure to save room for ice cream next time.

Great place for a lunch.
We went today, Sunday 31st July 2017, at 2pm fairly quiet.
Had the dinner menu, should have done the lunch menu, portion's very big but VERY nice. Mixed fish with linguine especially good.
Overall if you like Italian food and big portions, then this is the place to go.

This is simply a small, roadside restaurant with limited seating, but offers hearty, homestyle meals at a great price. The Whistle Stop features a daily special throughout the week, making this a great place to stop whenever passing through town . We aren't in the area that often, but when we do find ourselves nearby, this is our go-to place to satisfy our hunger. Great food and friendly service at a very fair price .......it's where the locals eat, and they know best !!

Stopped here on a bike ride with some friends. Was pretty amazed by the food selection and the service.
Awesome ice cream flavors too!
Never been to a concession stand that had buzzers to tell you when your food was ready.
Will be back for sure !

Today was our first visit to Rose32 Bread, when passing through the area. We were not disappointed. This is a spectacular small bakery cafe, with delicious breads, pastries, sandwiches and more - all made with all-natural ingredients. It also has some excellent choices in coffees and loose teas, as well as a small selection of local craft beers. We truly enjoyed our lunch, sitting out on the shady patio. (There is also a sunny patio for cooler days, as well as inside seating.) It is difficult to leave without choosing a selection of pastries and desserts to bring home!

First time visiting the Salem Cross Inn. If you like that old world charm with rustic meals then this is the place for you. The food wasn’t bad but this definitely is not my type of place.

Seasonal Dairy Bar with outdoor seating.
I've had better ice cream. My husband and I both had issues with ice crystals in our ice cream. It also had an odd consistency. I had the chocolate cherry chunk but the chocolate chunks tasted chalky and not chocolately. My husband had the key lime pie and said the flavor was good. I don't think I'd go back for ice cream.

We offer Daily Specials for Breakfast & Lunch. We have fresh baked muffins, homemade soups, and so much more.
Small town café / restaurant. No frills ambience, chalkboard specials, really tasty lunches .... and now they're serving supper on Tuesday night. Limited dinner menu under $20.00. Well worth a try. These folks would be successful even if they were not the only show in town.

I have a go-to here: the eggs Blackstone. However, I never get to order it as I am always captivated by a special. the last one was a kielbasa omelet creation with pesto hollandaise (and let me tell you, they can rock a hollandaise). There was the pastrami omelet and also lobster spinach eggs benedict, etc..... go, eat, have the great coffee - repeat. You won't regret it!
they will fix most anything you want or put hollandaise on anything else, lol - just eat it. Really. do it.
