Very delicious Gongnamul! The bowl was served steaming hot which was just comforting on a winter day. The soup rice comes with kimchi, dried seaweed and a sunny-side-up (this egg is itself a delicatessen). Break the dried seaweed into pieces and pour them into the soup, give a little stir and viola, time to enjoy the delicious gongnamul!

There were many traditional and authentic bibimbap restaurants in jeonju- the birthplace of bibimbap, but we chose to come to this one. When we were there, it was all locals who came and went. Like they say- anywhere with locals means it's authentic and good!!! We were blown away by the number of banchan (side dishes)! An entire tray full!!! Wow!!! Everyone was unique and yummy! And wow, the hot pot soufflé egg!!! Then the main star- there were only 2 options- raw or cooked beef. It was wonderfully balanced and so much crunch and textures with each bite!!! YOU MUST VISIT!!

The standard is the "cold" dish served in a warm steel bowl, I had the "hot" version in the ceramic bowl, both were excellent presentations of Bibimbap, rice with everything else. I liked the corn side dish and baby crab. Very very tasty mix of flavours, the hot bowl giving that paella- like crispness to the rice.

The bibimbab here is pretty good, but the reason that this is definitely the kind of place that guests from abroad would like is because the rice comes separately in a stone pot! What's not to love? The 파전 scallion pancake was also good.
We had some trouble mixing our bowls, but then the lady came and showed us how it's done and ended up doing it for us. Great service.
Recommended if you're looking for a Jeonju bibimbap experience.

This restaurant was famous in Jeonju for bean sprout and rice soup. I visited there for lunch, and the taste was very delicious. The atmosphere was so-so, but the service was very good, because they checked my food, whether I want to more side-dish or not. And must try the favor "moju", beverage made from rice-wine. This alcohol beverage had 1.5 % alcohol, so easy to drink. Excellent...

This is unique place for sundae
If you haven't tried sundae before, I'll be bit hesitated to tecommend this to you.
I love the sundae so I liked this place however my korean friend didn't like this place due to she thinks this place has bit more strong flavour of sundae.

We read about this cafe selling patbingsu (Korean ice dessert) in Jeonju Hanok Village and decided to give it a try. We had out lunch first and proceeded to the cafe located just next to the Stream Footpath. We were glad that although the weather has turned cold in autumn, they still serve the iced dessert. The dessert comprises of finely shaved ice, red beans, black powdery sesame seeds and chewy Korean rice cakes, all presented nicely in a bowl, very instagram worthy. We like our dessert very much, it was delicious. They also served hot desserts, but we did not try, as we just had our lunch. It's a very nice cafe for a dessert.

Our first meal upon arriving in Jeonju was at Veteran...it was easy to find and since it was already 2pm, we were able to get in without a line...but there were still LOTS of people inside. They only have three items on the menu...kalguksu, mandu and cold noodles. We ordered one of each (we were 3 pax) but we could not even finish them since the servings were a lot!...Each dish did not cost more then 6,000won...a must try!

I doubt the ladies who run this hawker stall know that their place is ranked #1 on TripAdvisor. They get help from an English speaking neighbor whenever there's a breakdown in communication. It seems that they offer two dishes, bean sprout rice soup and bean sprout squid rice soup. Both are lovely and delicious. Add the seaweed for even more flavor in your soup. It's filling and makes a great breakfast before you set off on a day of sightseeing. Don't miss it.
