Hopping side of the road donut shop in little Wallingford makes racks of donuts to entice. However after sampling old fashioned cinnamon sugar and glazed raised donut, I would advise going straight to the jelly. A thin crispy layer drenched in powdered sugar surrounds a fluffy tasty raised donut and delicious strawberry jelly. Absolutely Divine!! Not to be missed!

One of the two best places on rt.5 to stop and have breakfast or lunch. Between Ricks and Dads you can't go wrong. You try them once and you'll go back again and again.

Met some friends there, very friendly helpful staff, let us move tables together to comfortably accommodate 5 people. Very varied menu with muffins, great wraps, sandwiches, paninis, pizza etc. large portion. Their chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts is delicious! Will definitely go back. While we were waiting for our order they came with a basket of samples of their pizza which were delicious.

Savour the comforts of traditional cuisine, wine and spirits while nestled at a comfortable table near our cozy fire...and let the story begin!

A converted bank the interior of this entry is beautiful. The fare it serves is less so. The prices were high for what you receive and the enters were so-so. The young wait staff could also use some additional polish. This place has a lot of potential, so I hope management addresses some of these issues to moves the restaurant out of the mediocre and into the memorable.

I love this place. We’ve been here a few times and have really enjoyed our experience. The beer and wine selection is outstanding and the food is excellent. For food, I highly recommend the mussels, the Brussel sprouts, and the shrimp, bacon, tomato, pesto flatbread. All outstanding!

My husband and I went for the early bird specials, which included choice of an appetizer, bread & butter, Greek salad, entree with vegetables, plus dessert and coffee, all for the price of $16.95/$17.95. Everything we ordered was delicious..
I had the chicken Piccata which was so moist and tender. My husband had the salmon, which he said was awesome.
Marie, the bar tender is great. Can't wait to go back!

Michael's Trattoria has served the Wallingford community for the past 20 years. Cozy, great friendships, big flavor in a relaxed casual Italian Cuisine. Food is prepared by Michael in the spirit of his Italian roots. Our customer includes a huge amount of locals, but many choose Michael's before a Toyota Theater show or it's closeness to Choate. Friends, strangers, colleagues and family are always welcome to try simple generous, full flavored style of cooking. Michael's Trattoria gives you a range of appetizers, pasta. chicken, veal, steak and seafood. We offer fresh bread with Michael's own irresistible (customers rave!) virgin olive oil to dip in. We have private rooms available( for business and small parties) and also offer catering (on site, carry out and off premises) We are a small family owned Italian Resturant and take pride it the dining experience we offer. Best to make reservations.
Michael’s Trattoria’s has been our special occasion restaurant. We celebrate birthdays, our anniversary, my daughter-in-law’s bridal shower and just dinner out.
